Really simple. Got it on my 1st try/game. If you're not familiar with Hockey, you get called for an offside when you cross the blue line (the line following the red line if you are going towards the other team team's net) and all your players are not behind the line waiting for you to lead with the puck. So when you do have the puck, be sure that all your players are behind the blue line and when you do cross the line be sure not to run into one of your players because it might push them past the line and give you an offside. Also a helpful tip, there will be an "Offside Warning" in the top right of the screen warning you of a player who is offside. Wait for it to go away and you'll be solid.
