After reading the other solution I was unable to achieve the goal.

Here is what I did:

Flashback to Level 2 and continue until you get the gun collar and you exit the room and see the other guy run around the corner after you (its the first time so you get a promt).

When he is running back at you walk backwards until you are on the stairs. He will continue to come at you then just uppercut him (LT X). He will drop down since your higher (usually) then walk up and follow the promts.

Repeat until you get 5.
