The easiest way to get a platinum medal, is after you've completed the campaign and the challenges (to unlock the plasma tower), pick pip, kenny, jimmy and whoever (i used craig) and start the 1st challenge on insane. Just build 3 upgraded plasma towers in the first 3 places avalible and position your whole team in the first gap. jimmy and pip can literally take out multiple waves with one special on this map, and you need to keep using kennys special to actually get enough coins.
This is the first tower defence game i've ever played and i struggled with casual on some of the campaign however i managed platinum in 1 attempt with this method. |

Giving credit to Queegum, this is a variation off of his.
Do the first challenge level on insane difficulty
Characters:
Timmy (devastating attack)
Jimmy (devastating attack)
Pip (devastating attack)
Kenny (need for more coins)
Set-up:
In the first open spot: Upgraded plasma tower
In the second open spot: Upgraded refrigerator tower
In the third open spot: Upgraded plasma tower
Remaining spots: snow to slow movement for stragglers
Attack:
Leave the all of the players on the first square so they can work towards their special. You will have no problem on the first couple rounds, but after that I would use one character's special attack per wave to take it out.
You need to pay attention to Kenny and use his special, then use another person's so that you can amass as many coins as possible (they go towards the round end bonus). Be patient so to get through as much of the wave as possible and then use a character's special to finish it. That should do it, very simple and easy with this method. |

First of all, you should beat the game to unlock all the characters.
For this I went to challenge mode and used 20 Squares.
My character choices would be: Butters, Stan, Cartman, and Craig.
Save Butters and Cartmans specials for when there's LOTS of enemy's on the screen then take 'em out with your snowballs.
Also if there are lots of enemy's on the screen and no one has a special use Craig's as it slows them down recharges fairly quickly.
Now, as for stan, just throw snowballs and use your special in case any emeny's get past you guys. (They shouldn't.)
For the map, just make a snake type thing, go up and down with the walls.
Use lots of fireworks (preferebly upgraded) for Yanagopa, 6th Graders, and Homeless People. You also want some refrigoraters (preferebly upgraded). And then add in any towers you want, as you will a good bit of space to build.
By the end my friends and I earned 2,930,964 points. And it only took about 15-25 minutes. (Yes this way is a little longer, but it's those of you who like a challenge, like me. :D) And GOOD LUCK to you all! |

I went for this while doing challenge mode. You can take advantage of the other characters.
*The benefit to doing challenge mode is there's only one map. This can make things a LOT quicker.*
Beat the entire game to unlock all characters. Make sure you at least have one friend for this.
Select the second stage on INSANE and use pip, token, kenny, and craig.
Craig will slow down enemies, kenny will produce MUCH NEEED coins, pip will run around and crazy speeds and kill anything he runs into (wait til he has musical notes around him), and token will do an area attack that takes out almost everyone around him (great for the gnomes and critters waves)
With this stage, you're just throwing snowballs. Put token and craig on the middle top left corner hill thing. Make sure they're in the very top corner of it.
You now have kenny and clyde with great power and range. It'll take you a little while to figure out how much to charge your attacks, but take out the first couple waves normally. The key to this stage is any time the sixth graders come, that's your chance to re-charge your specials. Use your specials when all the gnomes are on stage when you have pip, use craig when you need to stall for time, and use token when there are a lot of critters out. Kenny you need to use as soon as he has his power as long as there's at least 10 enemies on screen.
After you clear out the little guys, just start pounding on the A button at the sixth graders to get your powers back up. try not to ever use charge attacks.
It make take a try or two, but with the Platinum medal set at 160000, my friend and I got 200000 easily and we still didn't get one wave as a perfect. |

There are plenty of good guides here, but I thought I'd add my method in case anyone is running out of options...
I did this after completing the main campaign on level 2 (Elementary School), insane difficulty, with Pip, Cartman, Timmy and Token.
The big difference with insane difficulty is that the enemies won't stick to the path, so you can generally just build towers running from East to West (a line from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock) to shoot at the ginger kids, hippies and the occasional cows that appear here. For me, the enemies tended to travel up the screen a bit, so check out their path before positioning too many towers to ensure you're in range.
I used upgraded Firey-works towers exclusively and put the boys in position to be throwing snowballs constantly. Use Timmy to collect coins that drop and every time you have 30 coins to spare, build another tower. I didn't find it necessary to build any walls. On the second stage, I pulled down the pre-built Fast-pitch to make way for another Firey-works, but only once I'd was running out of room.
If it looks like a wave was getting out of control, use a super power to beat them back a bit. You won't need to perfect every wave so don't worry if a ginger kid slips by every now and then.
The first couple of waves on each stage are the hardest since you won't have many towers, but towards the end, you should find that 8+ upgraded Firey-works should kill everything easily without relying on the boys. Remember this at the end of the first stage as allowing your boys to keep their charged powers for use early in stage 2 will make things much easier.
At the end of stage one, I had about 330,000 points and about 790,000 points at the end of stage 2. You can check the scrap book for the actual score you need to get platinum. |

I've uploaded a mini tutorial on youtube about two years ago, might aswell post it on TA since there wern't many video guides which show you exectly what to do.
The best way to get this achievement(in my opinion) is to play the first level: Stan's House, on the highest difficulty. You will only face Gingers and Cows, very easy opponents. You want to use the characters: Cartman, Graig, Pip and Kenny.
When you start off, sell the base towers, they are not very effective against the massive amounts off enemy's. Since your opponents have very few health, you want to use the firework tower, it has low damage(which doesn't matter because the enemy's do not have a lot of health) and it hits many targets at the same time.
When you can't handle it anymore, use the special powers. These should only be used when you have no other choice. YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE ANY HEALTH, very important.
