There's not much to say about this achievement; if you play Versus enough you'll probably pick it up sooner or later. If you're looking for tips on how to land a good ride, you should probably jump a survivor:
1) When they are far away from their team. If they're far enough, their team may just decide to leave them.
2) When everyone has been covered in puke. Use the combination of an instant horde and next to zero visibility to make off with an unlucky survivor. Even better if a Spitter can cover your escape by putting some acid between you and the enemy team.
3) When the enemy team is at a cliff or drop off. If you can nab the last one to jump and drive them back, 12 seconds should be a breeze.
4) When the enemy team is otherwise distracted, likely due to a tank.
Whatever you do, don't jump a tightly packed group of survivors who are aware and alert; you won't help anyone.

Here's an easy way to get both
and
with a minimum amount of effort:
- Play vs mode with two controllers: your profile as Infected and the second controller be the Survivors. Regardless of the map, use the Survivor to kill two of the other survivors.
- Once two of them are dead, spawn as the Jockey. Jump on the AI Survivor and ride him until he's downed*.
- Move your Jockey out of the downed AI's sight and bring the player controlled Survivor to the Jockey. This is so the downed AI cannot kill the Jockey.
- Use a health pack on your player controlled Survivor if he's damaged to ensure he's got plenty of health.
- Hop on the player controlled Survivor and ride him until he dies. You'll get both achievements.
*I didn't have any problems with getting out of the AI's sight in time, but if you wanted to play it safe, down the AI character twice first, so when the Jockey takes him down, he dies.
If you've got a friend on XBL, have them join you as a Spitter and you can easily knock out
at the same time. |
