To get to the top of Giotto's Campanile, you need to first climb onto the nearby church (Santa Maria del Fiore). You can get onto the church in the area near the dome, look for the usual windowpanes to make your way up.

Once on the church roof, walk towards the tower on the lower roof. You'll want to jump onto the tower, aiming for another windowpane. Climb up as far as you can, then rotate around the tower to your left, until you can continue upward.

You'll eventually need to climb into the tower. Once you do, make your way up the wooden scaffoldings. At the top of the wooden scaffoldings, jump onto the wooden beams in the wall, and climb up. Center yourself on the wall, and you should be able to climb up to the roof.

Note, there are two treasure chests in the tower, one above the entrance, and one at the bottom. It's probably worth your time to just get these while you're there.

Also, do not forget to synch the view at the top.
