i found the easiest way to get this was to start the peacekeeper assassination contract in florence. the order of the contracts is random, but it shouldn't take you too long to get it. anyway, the mission is to kill 10 guys in 1 minute. they're all in a group, they won't run away and no additional guards will join them so that takes care of the toughest parts of this achievement.
start out by slashing one with your knife to initiate combat, because if you use your hidden blade, that first guy won't count for some reason. once they focus on you, using your wrist blade is fine so toss a smoke bomb down and start knifing them. you won't be able to get all of them by the time your first smoke bomb wears off so when it does, toss another one down and go right back to it with your hidden blades.
everything should only take about 15 to 20 seconds and you'll get another achievement. |

I found it easiest to get this achievement once you are on the 'The Cowl Does Not Make The Monk' mission as the guards here don't counter your counters...I'ts not too far in to the game and without giving spoilers, this mission will be available once you have been in an out of Tuscanny a few times for the story-line missions. The mission start is located outside the monastary at the bottom right of the Tuscany map.
One thing that I think helped me on this achievement was the purchase and use of the Florentine Falchion (sword).
Once you have accepted the mission, climb on to the monastary roof and listen in to the conversation - which soon becomes aparent that it is your target that you can hear.Wait in Eagle vision for the convo to end, once it ends, your target will start to leave. Identify him through eagle vision then jump down and assassinate him before the guards know whats going on. Once your target is dead; lock on to a guard and throw up your guard. I had exactly ten guards attacking me without even trying to gather them up - however, if you dont have 10 guards there (the monks with swords) - run around to gather more. Here's why this guide is the most easy - simply counter the guards attacks using the Florentine Falchion mentioned above everytime a guard attacks you (You have to press the counter button - hold 'RT' and press 'X' - just as they raise their weapon to attack you). As I mentioned earlier, the guards here don't counter your counters...Counter 10 times and you will have 10 deaths. Simple! |

One of (if not the first) chances you'll be able to get this - without major luck on attracting other groups in the street - I found to be the story mission in which you have to defend Lorenzo.
The advantage of this was that Lorenzo will distract 3-5 of them to start with and you have to worry about less of them attacking you at once. When entering the bout of 12 enemies, you should be able to insta kill one or two, after which you should go straight into just countering them and dwindling their numbers, if done correctly you'll get this achievement in around a minute or so. |

Plenty of great suggestions for times when you can get this achievement as part of the storyline - but if you want totry and get the achievement as early as possible there are two assassination missions in Florence that fit the bill.
The first has been mentioned - the Peacekeeper mission. A good one with the right number of enemies and the combat relatively easy.
I found a another alternative depending on which order you receive the assassination missions in Florence - it is the Meeting Adjourned mission.
In Meeting Adjourned you have to tail a couple of people to a meeting, and then kill 5 targets.
Thing is, there are also about a dozen guards around the area as well which means you have plenty of targets to kill, and there is a confined area in which much of the fighting can take place - making it easier for Ezio to pull off the old "smoke bomb/hidden blade" combo 3 times.
Simply lure the guards away from the doorway to the area with courtesans, walk in carefully and strike the first target with your sword - or as I did, war hammer. Quickly switch to the smoke bomb, throw one down and then take out some of the other targets and guards. Rinse, repeat, until you have 10 enemies taken out.
Be aware though that you still have to fight your way past any surviving guards, and kill off any surviving targets. At most there should only be 2-4 left which isn't difficult. |

First, i have to thank you for reading this guide. It wasn't easy to read all of them to get to me so well done (but it doesn't count as an achievement, sorry).
More important, to have this achievement, a good place to do so is San Marco in Venice.
First, take all the smoke bombs you can, then go by a fast-travel station to Venice, San Marco. In front of you, there will be four guards. Kill one of them with your hidden blade then run to the entrance of the palace. In the way, gather all the guards that you can. When you are arrived, use a smoke bomb then kill the guards with your hidden blades. If necessary, use another smoke bomb to make the count of ten.
Of course, that system can be use anywhere but San Marco is a good spot of guards. |

Minor edit (thx to merbear and z):
There is a easier way to achieve this one, in Florence, just get your conflict level up to the highest. Then just keep on running with your hidden dagger (double kill capable) as your weapon of choice. Then try to outrun the guards (watch out, the guards have to be continuously in sight/or aware of you) and look for small groups of guards not yet alerted.
You only have to do this 5 times if your lucky. Good thing about the kill jump is that you won't get hit while performing it.

You can actually be hit, or at least I was, but it has to be before the first kill.
I tried this on the first real mission in venice before you met Rosa, I took some courteseans lured away the four guards, but as soon as I stepped in everyone was hostile and there at least 12 or so soliders. I had set smoke bombs from the beginning but as I was about to throw one I got hit, I threw a bomb anyway, killed 5 guys, threw another killed 3 or so more, got the last 2 on the last bomb and it popped. I cant say for sure but it seems as long as after you make your first kill you dont get hit it might work. |

| on the level where you have to break into the town at night near the beginning of the game make your guys hit the guards first so that the guards dont hit you then kill the guard s from behind with the hidden blade hopefully more guys will come. once all the guys are dead u should have the achievement "no-hitter" |

*****SPOILER ALERT*****
I tried several of the other solutions listed above for which I did not have any luck. I got this achievement while on the wall at the Vatican in the final mission.
After you scale the wall and go along the top of the wall and the towers, you will see an area below one of the towers right before the restricted area. There are two guards that are stationary and the rest are on patrol. Wait until the patrol is near the stationary guards, jump down to assassinate the two guards and then use smoke bombs to disorient the guards and kill the remaining 8. |

I had some trouble using the smoke bombs to assassinate all ten before they ran away. If you have the same problem I found a solution. In the Bonfire of the Vanities DLC, one of the missions is to assassinate the chief of police. When you find him he traps you in a courtyard where he has set up an ambush. Because your assassination target is the one that has sent the guards on you they won't run away when you kill so many. This way you can use your own strategy to eliminate ten without being hit.
Some suggestions:
- Use the covered areas of the courtyard to fight in, as the archers will be shooting at you.
- The guards that jump down will be using daggers and are agile. Thus, the best weapon to use is a dagger as it counters well and they won't be able to dodge your attack as well.
- I didn't attempt it but, since the guards won't flee, the smoke bomb trick will most likely work. |

| There are a lot of great solutions here but if people are having trouble getting guards to come after them just return to venice wearing the auditore cape and run around until there is a decent sized group of guards chasing you. when you thing there are enough just toss smoke bombs down and keep killing guards and tossing smoke until you get the achievment. |
