Rebels will appear in your game when the demands of your population are not met. When you start a game, unless you are given a pre-made country, you will automatically hear about the rebels in your island.
The best way to get the rebels to attack is to initiate 'martial law', build a church, use the edict for 'book burning', and kill off random civilians who oppose you.
Pay your military as high as you can, and make your leader have a military background to make him or her more effective in combat. After a few years, you should have a rebel attack, if not a full revolution on your hands. Make sure you save at this point just in case. The game will automatically send your military and leader to fight the rebels, and depending on how many attacking rebels you have, you should hopefully win the fight.
Your achievement should pop after the battle, unless you lost the battle, in which case, reload your save and let it run through again. |
