Aside from having a friend vote on it, you can simply make a very fast bronze, silver or gold trial. I used this method and got hundreds of positive votes for an average ranking of about 4.5.
1) Play a few of the "easy silver" "10-second silver" etc. trials to get a feel for them.
2) Make a trial in a small arena with Dante, one life, weak mana, weak health, Hellish difficulty, 15 seconds Kill 'em Quickly, and a large bomb in the middle. Add minions & modify them until they are tough enough to make the arena the appropriate difficulty - if you are going for gold, you will need two rounds, just copy the arena for the second round. The "strategy" for this arena is to run forward, hit the bomb, and block; when it explodes it should kill everyone. Name your arena "10-second silver," "One-hit silver," "Easy Gold" or something like that.
3) PLAYTEST IT. This is the step everyone seems to forget. Maybe some of the minions spawn outside of the bomb blast - use a smaller arena. Maybe they don't all die - switch to skellies or babies. Maybe they move so fast they actually tag you. In any case, make sure it works flawlessly a few times before you upload it.
4) Upload it.
5) Check back in a couple of days to see if you got any votes. Most people sort chronologically and/or by ranking, so if no one votes right away it'll drop down on the list and become unlikely to get any votes. In this case just delete it from the online server and re-upload it, pushing it back to the top of the list.
