To obtain this achievement, you need to unlock 5 Survivalist medals. Not all games have this medal available. Bronze, silver, and gold all count (Once per game)
Survivalist medals can only be earned in ranked play, and in games that you either own, are purchasing sessions with using the 40 MS point option, or on games that your console is licensed to (i.e. Someone else bought that game on your console). Medals can NOT be earned in demo play, classic play, or if you are using tokens to play a friend's machine.

This will require you to purchase and play 5 different games in the Game Room.
You get Survivalist Medals for playing a certain amount of time without losing on each game. Each game has its own preset time for you to beat in three tiers. Beat the 1st time, you get a Bronze medal, 2nd time, Silver medal, and 3rd time, Gold medal. You need to get at least a Bronze medal to officially earn your "Survivalist Medal". |

The easiest and cheapest way to get this achievement is the following
Buy 5 one time plays of the following listed games these will get you 5 gold survivalist and 5 time spender medals. If you're unsure of exactly what to do try it in the demo first. (especially for controls don't want to accidentally start a game!)
The games
Crystal Castles. In this game you pass levels if all the gems are off the screen (counts if enemies finish it off). Here you get to level 4. There are three green things in the corner--run into them while they're eating gems (I find this is right away). Then you can hide in the castle or whatever for 2 hours for gold time spender and survivalist--you'll need to waggle the controller (stick, press A, whatever) about every minute or so to keep the game running the time. (bonus play again for point buster--all you need to do is go on that path behind the first level and jump--there's a warp and will get you enough points for gold).
Both Pinballs
move the bumpers for 2 hours (or 1.5 for gold medals check the chart) Then play a game and try to do your best.
Both Breakouts same deal here except you just move the flippers for awhile (one is 2 hours, another is 1.5). Then play a game and do your best to try to get a bronze point spender (try the control pad instead of the stick but this game is very hard)
Less time is required if you just want the bronze medals obviously. |
