You'll need to finish every mission in the Titan Trials to unlock this achievement. This is easiest to do upon completing the game, or preceded by a lot of power-leveling. You do not need to 5-star the missions for the achievement, simply win the battles for each of the missions. Most of these battles are simple with the exception of a few of the last battles and the triplet of Tonberry's. You can find the Titan's Trials behind the two red doors in the South-West area of the Archlytte Steppe after acquiring a Chocobo.

With maxed-out characters, you won't have any problems 5-starring these missions, but here's some simple ways to beat the tough battles in Chapter 12 with an underdeveloped team:

Mission 41
Use a Deceptisol, and party COM/COM/COM. Spam blitz for the first two rounds of attacks, then summon your eidolon and continue to spam blitz until they're dead (I did this fight in 37 seconds).

Mission 45
Equip Vanille with the Malboro Wand (morphed Belladonna) and spam Death until it dies. May take many tries depending on your level, Sprint Shoes and magic boosting items are optional. Alternatively, fight as normal and have a SEN/SEN/SEN paradigm ready for "Screech."

Mission 46
Aegisol and Fortisol, then a mix of RAV/SEN/RAV and SYN/SEN/SAB to keep his stagger meter from dropping too fast and buff up. MED/SEN/MED when needed to heal, and call in your eidolon when and if things start to look bleak. This enemy is not immune to death, either.

Mission 47
Aegisol and magic-warding items will have a significant effect, as will a sentinel. I used Hope, Fang and Lightning, and did an even dose of Sabotage, healing and Ravage. Despite the massive damage he does with Multicast, this is a very basic battle.

Mission 51
I used Vanille, Snow and Fang with an Aegisol and Fortisol. All three had a General's Belt (or something similar), and 2 Phoenix Downs just in case.

Start the battle SAB/SEN/SAB, when the enemy has all four debuffs, switch to RAV/RAV/RAV, going back to SAB as necessary. I used Vanille for party leader to keep the battle from getting too boring.

After he takes out his 2nd weapon, I went to RAV/SEN/COM, again switching back to SAB as needed. If he starts 'Concentration' and you have 4+ TP, cast Stopga to avoid a healing session.

Now this is the important part: MED/MED/SEN (Fang as the Sentinel this time, not Snow) whenever either Snow's health drops below 40% or Fang/Vanille drop into the yellow, and going to SAB immediately following even when not necessary to get the stagger meter stabilized. If healing takes more than 2 ATB rounds, or your debuffs start to wear off, switch to SAB between heals to quickly stabilize the enemy.

He'll likely cast Doom near the end, so you'll have to abandon healing in the latter portion of the battle to save time, using those Phoenix Downs if need be. You may even want to switch to RAV/COM/COM around 600-500 if your health is full. If he's still not dead when the doom meter hits 100, summon your Eidolon and Ravage your heart out.

For reference, the first time I beat him I got him with the Eidolon (pre-gestalt) with 3 stars (Vanille had 13000 HP). When he died his stagger meter was ~800%. Returning later, I was able to RAV/RAV/COM the whole battle with a few quick heals and the fight was a breeze.

If you're attempting mission 51 prior to Ch. 13, or trying to 5-star it, refer to: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=928790&a...

For this achievement, you will have to complete missions 35-51 All of these missions can be found in The Faultwarrens, and are fairly linear. You'll have to run the trials seven times to finish all the missions. This image might help when doing the trials.

Once you have done mission 35-50, a final challenge will open up in area D3; mission 51. Beat the mission and you'll unlock the achievement.

Mission 51: Attacus
HP: 9,135,000

This is one long, drawn out fight. Probably the best party to use here would be Fang (leader), Hope and Snow. Use the following paradigms.

Premeditation
• Fang: Saboteur
• Hope: Synergist
• Snow: Sentinel

Delta Attack
• Fang: Commando
• Hope: Ravager
• Snow: Sentinel

Solidarity
• Fang: Commando
• Hope: Medic
• Snow: Sentinel

Mystic Tower
• Fang: Ravager
• Hope: Ravager
• Snow: Sentinel

For this fight, all Snow is going to do is get beaten up. He'll be absorbing all of the attacks, allowing you free reign with Fang and Hope. There isn't much of a strategy besides that. Attacus can't be staggered, nor does he have any elemental weaknesses. Your best bet is to have deprotect and deshell on him while having haste, faith and bravery on both Fang and Hope. Use the Rav/Rav/Sen paradigm to raise his stagger bar a bit higher so you can do more damage as a commando. Whenever he loses his debuffs, make sure to cast them again. Especially deprotect.

By far the hardest mission is the last one: Atticus the Soulless. He's one of the strongest enemies in the game with 9 million HP.

I did this mission after beating the game with Lightning as party leader, Fang and Snow. Switch to a Medic, Sentinel, Sentinel team when he's meditating. Then after he attacks have Fang switch to Saboteur to debuff him. Just make sure you keep one person as a Sentinel when you switch to attacking mode.

It took me more than 10 minutes and I still 5-starred it.

I just got this done yesterday and thought I would offer my own recipe for success.

Every one of the trials is relatively easy depending on your setup, crystarium level, weapons and accessories, etc. Here is what I have been doing for sometime now:

Team:
Lightning (leader)
Hope
Fang

Paradigms:
1. SAB/SYN/SAB
2. RAV/RAV/COM
3. COM/RAV/COM
4. MED/SYN/SEN
5. MED/MED/SEN

For weapons I have tier 3 only for the extra ATB, and so far I have only seriously upgraded Fang's (taming pole I believe has the stagger lock; turned into Kain's Lance and have it at level 89). Fang with the Genji Glove, 2 speed sashes and an imperial armlet not only does devastation when an opponent is staggered, but with the Random: Instant Chain ability (2 speed sashes) she also has a small chance to stagger on her own.

I have Lightning set up with her Omega Weapon (from the Lionheart for Quick Stagger), a speed sash, an energy sash, sprint shoes and the aurora scarf. This does a few very beneficial things, including the Random: Instant Chain, Auto-Haste, First Strike, and one ability that no one should overlook: ATB + 10%. Lightning does not hit as hard with this setup, but she hits extremely often which increases the chances of hitting that Insta-Chain.

Hope is set up with the top tier bangle (forget the name) because his HP is terrible, an imperial armlet and 2 speed sashes. His weapon is also 3rd tier.

Everyone has mastered all their primary roles and 1 of their secondary roles.

So, now the Atticus fight:

- Start with Paradigm 1 from the list above. Your objective really, above everything, is for Fang to hit him with Slow. Slapping him with anything else is a nice bonus. Hope should also have casted a few buffs on everyone as well (mostly protect and haste are what you want here)
- Once he has Slow on him, switch to Paradigm 2 and just wail on him. It will look like nothing is happening with his life gauge, but trust me, it is going down. Use Lightning's "Army of One" move a lot here as it builds the chain rather well. Stay in this paradigm until slow goes away, then switch back to Paradigm 1.
- The trick is to stay on him and get that chain gauge up. I had hoped the Insta-Stagger trick with the speed sashes would work on him (and they may) but I did not see it happen for me. Once his Chain is around 500% switch to Paradigm 3 and continue to wail on him with 2 commandos.
- If you need health OR you see the word "Concentrate" or "Meditate" above Atticus, switch to Paradigm 4 or 5 (depending on if you want buffs or not).

Concentrate is not that bad to deal with in terms of damage, but Meditate can be a 1 hit kill.

I had him down in a little over 7 mins.
