All of the little sisters in Minerva's Den are followed by Lancer Big Daddy's. This achievement will unlock when you kill one. Lancer's are not that tough to begin with, but uf you want to make it the easiest, wait until you have Ion Laser upgrade from the first area (the upgrade makes your Ion Laser do more damage) and full Boost Cell ammo. Put out 2 mini-turrets, hit him with 4 fully charged Boost Cell shots from the Ion Laser (this will put his health down to almost nothing and he will be busy attacking the turrets instead of you) and finish him off with some Rocket Spears from the Spear Gun. You shouldn't even take any damage if you do this.
UPDATE:
The bug for this achievement has been fixed. Here is a quick fix for the bug if you got the achievement before the fix (if the achievement is not added to your Bioshock 2 gamerscore, your total gamerscore or showing up on TrueAchievements.com).
1. Recover your Gamertag on to your Xbox 360 (this will remove the achievement from your gamertag as it's not recorded on the Xbox 360 Live servers).
2. Start a new game of Minerva's Den on Easy difficulty.
3. Just run through the game missions until a Lancer Big Daddy show's up (about 15-20 minutes in, he showed up for me when I wen't to the room that with the electromagnetic lock where I found out I needed the Gravity Well plasmid).
4. Kill him and the achievement should pop and will be legit this time! |

| For this achievement, you have to kill a big daddy in Minerva's Den. In this DLC, all the big daddies are lancers, so if your going for the achievement ADAM ADDICT also then your are gonna get this achievement. All you have to do is find and kill a lancer big daddy. I recommend to play on easy difficulty. The easiest way to kill one is to shock or incinerate a lancer big daddy and shoot BOOST SHOT CELLS at it with the ion laser. There is a total of 6 lancer big daddies in the DLC. |
