These are the first 3 weapons you unlock as an Engineer:
SCAR-L Carbine -- Unlocked at 2,510 Engineer Points
XM8 Compat -- Unlocked at 6,500 Engineer Points
AKS-74U Krinkov -- Unlocked at 16,000 Engineer Points
Note: Those that got the Gamestop preorder bonus of the early unlock for AKS-74U, this will not unlock the achievement early for you. You still need to hit 16,000 Engineer Points.
Note 2: You can use the website -- http://bfbc2.elxx.net -- to track your progress. The stats may be delayed a little bit, but it saves you from quitting out of matchmaking and back to the main menu. |

| This acheivement can be easily had by following around vehicles with the power tool once you get it particularly vehicles with squadmates inside. I reccomend the Black Hawk. Sit in one of the jump seats with the tool out and repair when you take damage, it does work however the pilot most slow the chopper down considerably for this to work but he does NOT have to land or stay still this allows for evasion of rockets and Heavy MG fire while repairing. Again best done with squadmates in the vehicle. |

Another solution to this achievement (And others like it) not listed above is by purchasing, either separately or together, the Specact upgrades for each class. By doing this, you are essentially unlocking the kit's final weapon unlock at the point of purchase. Currently, the weapons for all four kits only costs 480 points (about $5.00 American).
With these in your arsenal, points for the engineer class (as for the other classes) will be slightly easier to come by. Not to mention, by purchasing the Specact weapons, you'll also be eligible to earn the achievements for Specact weapons as well. |

You can now get this achievement by purchasing the Master Unlock DLC pack from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
After you purchase it, play a match to completion and the achievement will pop. |

| Worth adding that you cannot use vehicles (excluding repairs, and Inglorious Yogi's Blackhawk tip) to get this (as vehicle score adds to the vehicle unlocks), but you can use 'All Kits' weapons (e.g M1 Garand, Shotguns) as long as you are using them with the Engineer Kit. |
