Same goes for other Valpariso achievement.
Easy way to do this is to keep the Bradley u get at the first spawn.
Have one or two people drive into first flag area, mowing everybody down.
Reinforcements will come down from the mountain (but keep a eye on the docks as well for the occaissional spawn), kill them with the bradley.
IMPORTANT, once you take this point an enemy light tank will come down, have an engineer destroy it and move the Bradley to the back.
On top of the hill, have 2 engineers destroy the boats. Having marked the boat for rockets help a lot, so you can hide behind the stone barrier which the boat will not destroy.
Move the Bradley on top of the hill and cover the street @ point 2. Have the rest of the team storm the road. Be carefull for enemy flankers in the water. Also here, reïnforcements come from up the hill down the road.
For point 3, move the bradley up and have 1 engineer stand besides it. @ point 3 there will be 2 light vehicles (1 rocket kill) coming in at high speed. Take one with rocket the other with Bradley. Don't forget the reinforced mounted gun, kill it for it will mow down the rest of your team. Reïnforcements, again, will come down the road.. Bradley can easily take them.
NOTE: Keep repairing the Bradley!!! Do not lose it!!
@ point 3, take the Bradley on the right path for the vantage point. Spam the area with the bradley. Rest of team move up. Carefull, on the left of the road that curves around the compaund, there will be a sniper. Rocket will do :).
Engineers sneek up the main road entrance and together, or by yourself destroy the light tank immediately, for it will begin to drive and the it'll be harder to hit with all enemies comming.
Then take a rocket and destroy the gun emplacements. Take your team and sneak up on the left side of the compound towards the flag and take it... voila, Achievo.
At the compound, reïnforcements will come as para's. Shoot them whilst still in flight. They come from right and rear of the compound.

A pretty easy tip for this map is to probably keep the class count as follows:
Medic:(3rd that goes in, no point in being a Medic if your dead.)
Engineer:(Good for vehicle repairs and taking out other vehicles.)
Engineer:(Mostly driving the vehicle at the start of the map.)
Recon:(The spawn savior, stays in the back, picks them off.)

The engineers are going to be the real stars of the show in this map because that there is no better way to take control of the flag points than a armor covered light tank. Since that tank can really be the make or break point, it's best to keep it repaired and cared for so that you don't have to Rambo the map like I had to. Buuuuutt.... If you want to or have to Rambo it, you might want two Medics instead of one.
There really is no best way to go at this map from what I've played, but it's always best just to inch your way up, building to building. I will tell you the pattern most people will start to notice, that when the enemy A.I. spawn, they make pretty much a half pipe circle around the flag area and move towards the center then outwards.
Note: They will not stop spawning until your starting to capture the flag, so there's no use in killing everyone, they'll just re-spawn.
It's just simple tips for playing, but really there's no point in making a big elaborate plan, because like the Law states, "What can go wrong, will go wrong." and there's many times it's proven this to me. So your just going to have to do it. =/ |
