Just an extra note: If you don't have 4 controllers, ROCK BAND/GUITAR HERO DRUMS AND GUITARS WILL WORK for the extra controllers. Just use these for the extra players who aren't going for the achievement and beat them in a custom game {therefore no NPCs} to make it a bit quicker and easier, also set it to 1 lap {no point in making it longer for yourself}-- then just finish the race and wait for the 30 seconds to time out the other players and the achievement should pop up.
