To get this achievement you need to,
Repair 500 blocks of health
Repair on damage critical and just before a power up hits
Win a race on damage critical whilst carrying a repair in single player
Win a race without wrecking but repair more blocks of health than your car has
Repairing 500 blocks of health will come as you progress through the single player as long as you pick up health whenever you need one. Repairing on damage critical, which means you only have one red bar of health left can be tricky, get a repair and drive ahead of a CPU, (on medium) they should start using shunts and bolts, wait until you have one bar of health. Note: make sure you have critical health, your controller will start to slowly vibrate and your health bar will be dark red and your screen should also get darker. If the CPU picks up a shunt wait until the shunt is close to you in your rear view mirror then repair, if they pick up a bolt (and you see them pick it up) chances are they will fire it right away so repair immediatly.) To win a race with a repair and on critical (see above note) health can be hard, I suggest going to Amboy route 66, the CPU's use lots of shocks on this map, so if you are in first you can purposfully run into them until you go down to critical health. Switch it to easy so you get a good lead so that no stray power ups can hit you, also carry a shield just incase of shunts. To win a race without wrecking but repairing more blocks of health than your car has is quite easy, you will get this if you use repairs frequently whenever you are damaged use one. When your health is orange use a repair and then repeat at least one more time. (the tracker will pop up in the bottom corner to tell you when you've done it |
