Quite possibly the worlds easiest method, using the still active glitch that allows you to escape the map, much as acedawg4 described in his guide. The easiest team to handle it this way though, is three Chaos Sorcerers.

Minimum realistic stats to pull this off without issues are:

Chaos Sorcerer lv15
Staff Of Daemonic Flame (Gives ability: Let The Galaxy Burn) given at lv15
Armor of Might Undivided (Prevents Knockback. A lifesaver with numerous waves that could easily knock you back into the main arena. Also give Narcissism)
Sigil Of Greater Sorcery (Effectively doubles the efficiency of your Let The Galaxy Burn attack by firing two fireballs instead of one.)
Mark Of Tzeentch (More energy = more DPS, which is pretty much needed to defeat the Chaos Sorcerer before he uses his life leech attack)
Icon Of Summoning (+125hp. At this level, you're gonna need it)

You've one accessory slot free in this build, which can be given a lot of leeway...we did it with one person having Doombolt for even more DPS, one with Scroll Of Blood, and one with Scroll Of Vengeance, although none of these skills were really necessary. If you are level 18, you will want to fill this slot with Sigil Of Master Sorcery, adding yet another fireball to your Let The Galaxy Burn! spell. If you happen to be level 19 or above, replace Mark Of Tzeentch with Daemonic Gift Of Sustenance, as just using Let The Galaxy Burn will pretty much keep you at full health and energy throughout, assuming you equip both of the sigils with it.

Everyone having similar loadouts, proceed to use the glitch as demonstrated in the video below (it makes a lot more sense when watched than when you read it.) Proceed to just in front of the wall, and simply spam away with Let The Galaxy Burn, making sure to run away if your health reaches 60% or so. Do not go too close to the arena as you will fall back into it. Also, the spawn points are rather difficult to attack with your gear setup, so leave them alone. Should any mobs get trapped and not come towards you, simply walk as close as possible to the left gate. You'll know you are close enough as the gate should come down even though you are in the air. If the mob fails to come to you when this happens, you will have to go back into the arena to kill them, and perform the glitch again.

You shouldn't encounter any issues until you reach wave 16. Here, spread out from your teammates as the clones will fight back with the same methods you do, however they'll stay bunched together. Spam them with LTGB, and eventually they will all die, even if they resurrect one another your DPS is far too much for them to heal through. If you're getting shot at, move south of range, heal, and get back to it. You should be in no rush to do this, take your time and all will be good.

Wave 19 introduces our friend the Terminator, who actually has the ability to destroy his own teammates. If you want to play it safe against the dreadnaughts, move your entire team to as far south and east as you can go without leaving the elevated area. All of the enemy units should head into the south spawn point, and will attempt to shoot at you through the wall. All will miss, and the Terminators rockets will blast against it, damaging anyone who is stood right next to it. When you're done softening them up with their own troops, return to the position you were firing from before, and finish off the wave.

Come wave 20, you won't be teleported to a random part of the map like happens in the game normally. Thus, fully charge up, and DPS your clones as soon as possible to prevent any respawns. The Chaos Lord will be pretty much useless against you, until you drop his HP below 50% where he will get desperate and at times use a life leech ability that can restore him to 100% if he catches two of you at the same time.

Simply charge your energy to full, and spam the same spot you've been spamming the entire game, until you're down to just the chaos lord. Recharge, spread apart from each other a little so he can't grab you all with his life leech, and DPS him down. Result.

Sometimes when you reach wave 20, your entire team can be instantly killed. I've know idea why this happens, but have had it happen to me on no less than two attempts, so if it happens, just start again. The method is a lot quicker than it sounds.

The reason for the gear recommendation is we have tried this with 3 more lower levelled sorcerers. We initally got to wave 20 with just a Chaos lord standing with 2 people at level 12 and one at level 8, using Doombolt for our DPS. The problem with this is you cannot effectively DPS the chaos lord down fast enough before he gets his life leech attack in and recharges back to full. Level up a bit, wait til you're fifteen, and it'll be a breeze.

Given how fast this method is, you may want to use it to get the Overlord achievement as well, as you can effectively get 5000xp in less than twenty minutes.

Here is how I did it:

I was a Hive Tyrant, about level 17. I equipped:

The claws that let you recover hitpoints when minions attack.
The armor that gives minions a huge health boost and +2 regen
Psychic scream (debuffs enemies), tyrant guard, and warrior nest
Synapse (commander item - techs use half energy)

I then played with two chaos sorcerors that could clone.

Basically, you keep your two minions up and running non stop. They are REALLY hard to kill because the items give them a good set of buffs and life boost, plus they have +3 regen. As they attack, they refill YOUR life. Meanwhile, you should pretty much hit "E" to do psychic scream whenever you can. It only costs 5 energy and it is so incredibly useful.

When you get to wave 16, have the two chaos sorcerors clone your clone (so basically, your team will consist of the two chaos sorcerors, yourself, and two clones of you... plus all your minions). It will be a huge battle, but the benefit you have over the computer is that YOU CAN SPAM PSYCHIC SCREAM and the computer will not. That means the computer will almost constantly be debuffed, and eventually (although it might not seem like it at times) they will fall.

Hopefully when you win, you still have yourself and both clone hive tyrans alive. The three hive tyrants and their minions can take care of waves 17, 18, and 19 as long as they stick together, you keep your minions respawned, and you constantly mash psychic scream. DO NOT SPLIT UP or the vehicles will pick you off one by one. The two chaos sorcerors should just bounce around and stay alive and revive you if you die. If one of their hive tyrant dopplegangers dies, they should clone the strongest thing alive on the map.

When you get to wave 20, have both chaos sorcerors clone the chaos commander. Have the hive tyrant keep spamming psychic scream. You'll wear them down eventually.

Its not as hard as it sounds! Just be good with psychic scream and know when to run away (if your life gets to about 50 hp, run away and let your two minions keep fighting to refill your hp).

Good luck!

First off I'd like to thank Z Force Clemson force his great solution, it inspired me :)
You need a lvl 20 Hive Tyrant with the following wargear;
Venom Cannon
Bonded Exoskeleton
Ravener Nest
Tyrant Guard Nest
Toxin Sacs
Evolution.

You then need 2 lvl 20 chaos sorcerers with the following gear;
Staff of Tzeentch
Robes of the Deathless
Daemonic Gift of Sustenance
Icon of Summoning.
The other 2 Accessory slots can be filled with anything.

For waves 1-15 the three of you can just sit in the top right corner of the map. The sorcerers should clone the force commander (big hammer) on wave 4. the hive tyrant should keep his minions up at all times.

For wave 16 have everyone move to the center of the map. The sorcerers should clone the hive tyrant doppelganger as fast as they can! (Several times either our sorcerers or the hive tyrant doppelganger died before cloning was complete, this will make wave 20 significantly harder!). Then simply kill the tyrant and his friends. All players should avoid being targeted by the hive tyrant as the venom cannon kills extremely fast!

After wave 16 back into the top right corner again. With 3 tyrants you should have no problems on 17-19. The tyrant clones will often stand in the dead center of the map tanking entire waves. Feel free to go out and support them, use your judgement though.

For those of you who don't know wave 20 begins with a cutscene, after which you will all be randomly teleported to different corners of the map. The enemies are; a chaos lord, the 3 doppelgangers from wave 16, and several groups of bloodletters that spawn throughout the wave. The doppelgangers can and will revive all other slain heroes (the warboss ,lictor and terminator.) The chaos lord does not seem to be able to revive.

As soon as wave 20 starts the hive tyrant should ping the corner he spawns in. The sorcerers should then warp to him as fast as they can. Move as far into the corner as you can and watch for bloodletters. They will spawn and teleport beside you. At this stage the clone tyrants should either be near you or in the center fighting (For us a single tyrant tanked the chaos lord and 3 other heroes in the center for the entire wave). Once the bloodletters are dead, stay very close together and make your way slowly to the clone tyrants, watching out for sorcerers teleporting behind you and cloning your tyrant (very bad!). By the time you reach the clone tyrants there should only be a few enemies left, so mop them up and enjoy your 60g :)

Additional tips for wave 20:
If your tyrant does die you can simply clone the enemy hive tyrant, or the chaos lord.
If an ally falls try revive them, but not if enemies are too close to the body, you will likely die too!
If the corner you are camping in comes under serious attack the sorcerers should teleport to safety, abandoning the tyrant.
Keep trying! Practice helps a lot on wave 20. The first time you reach it can be very confusing.

Feel free to comment if you have any questions, or if you think you have the perfect accessories for the 2 sorcerers.

I just wanted to update those trying to go for this achievement. Their is a glitch that can be used. It will still take some fighting out, but can save your butt from dying at times!

I myself was a Sorcerer with Warp and was able to Summon creatures and bosses. My partner (not going for achievement) was a Space Marine with a Plasma Cannon and able to heal downed ppl from afar.

On the gate to your bottom left hand corner you can warp behind it to bring the gate down (Or wait for enemies to spawn then kill them all). For the glitch to work, you must stand on the second pillar square from the bottom (right side) and wait for the gate to close (go up). If you did this correctly, you will be able to walk on air directly to the tip of the south on the map. Way back there is also a building you can climb inside of and exit it right away to take you above everyone. CAUTION - You can only walk so far before it will drop you back onto the main fighting area, so I suggest use a long range weapon to stay to the south and thin out the enemy waves! It will still be a tough fight when it comes to the Space Marines (Level 5) and the Boss Fight (Level 16).

I got as far as reaching Level 20 this way, but did not complete the round as of yet! But keep trying until they patch this up!!!!

Message me if you would like me to help/show you how
