For starters red barrels do not count.
You will find Cryo Tanks early on in the game but no need to worry because there are many of these in the game and you will probably get this achievement by accident.
What I did was I was using impulse a lot and by accident I would hit Propane Tanks and Cryo Tanks.
If you die, the kills you got still count.
