The earliest point in the game that you can get your hands on a BFG is on the eighth level of Hell On Earth, Tricks And Traps.
From the starting point go through the first door to the left from the one you're facing. Run all the way down to the end of this corridor, hit the switch on the wall and run back to the room you started in. Now go through the door that you were facing when the level started, run to the opposite corner of the room and pick up the rocket launcher. This will trigger the floor behind you rising into steps and the back wall opening up.
Go up into this new area and press the switch on the right side. Now turn back around and notice that the wall behind where the rocket launcher was has opened. Go through into this new area and collect the soulsphere directly in front of you which will trigger the walls in the area just behind you opening.
Go into the area to your left and either shoot or punch the large demon head icon on the back wall. This wall will open up revealing the BFG9000. Now it's time for some fun! |
