As far as i can tell you receive triple weapons the most when you are trailing behind the pack but they are still random.....
So once you have a triple weapon (preferable rockets) but can be Bombs, KO Gloves or Mines, get behind/near 3 opponents and HOLD the A button to release all 3 projectiles at once, hit 3 opponents and voila achievement unlocked.

| During a race you should get a triple weapons Rockets Bombs, KO Gloves or Mines, get behind or near 3 opponents and HOLD the A button to release all 3 projectiles at once, hit 3 opponents and voila achievement unlocked. Best weapon to use is Rockets because they are lock on and dont miss the target. |
