Go to Single Player, choose Campaign and then select the Prologue mission.
As soon as you get out of the starting area, go all the way left, until you reach the blue-ish/green barrier of the map. Now follow the barrier clockwise and you should stumble upon a golden crate with the hidden upgrade.
Remember to just press "B" all the time, to boost.
