The easiest way to do this is to play with two controllers. Make sure you're playing with at least 5 minute quarters and adjust the sliders so that the team with the main profile is maxed for 3 point shots and you may want to minimize the blocking for the other team.

Once in the game, turn the shot clock off. Get the ball to the other team somehow and, using the second controller, get them to successfully make a three-pointer. Then, just hold onto the ball for the rest of the quarter and let the clock expire. Do this through each quarter and once there's about two or two and a half seconds left in the fourth quarter, take a three point shot (a shot from behind the arc). If you're using a decent player, you'll most likely sink it and send the game into overtime.

If you want to go for the Buzzer Beater achievement, you can use the same tactic in overtime by giving the main controller the ball and holding onto the ball until there's only a couple of seconds left and take the game winning shot.

Nighthawk205Yep. The end of regulation means that there will be no time left on the clock once the basket is made.

D3LTAShot with what I thought was 2.5 sec left and made it with 0.3 sec remaining. Would recommend to go closer to 1.5-2.0 sec remaining. Got it on my second try with 1.5 sec left.

not a solution but maybe this helps someone

you can also do the NOT OVER YET and BUZZER BEATER cheevo in the Jordan challenge...I did them yesterday while playing the father day challenge against the Sonics.

I was behind by 2 Points with 22 secondes left to play in the fourth quarter. I saved the game and jumped right back, so now, you have the chance to go for NOT OVER YET or BUZZER BEATER achievement (just make sure, you hit / make a 3point buzzer beater) and if you miss - no prob, just load your saved game and try it again.

PS: Please don't give negative votes without a comment. That doesn't help me in any way.

This can be done in any game you don't simulate, including My Player, as long as you don't simulate while you are subbed out. Sliders may also be used to make sure that last shot goes in easily as well as turning off shot clock and 8 second rule so you can hold the ball beyond half court and let the time tick away. Just make sure you are down by 3 and let it tick down to the last 1.5 seconds and let your 3-pointer fly. You can also use 2 controllers to really control the game.

Set it up for 7 minute quarters no matter the gametype so you can also set yourself up for:
NBA 2K11Hold the Fat LadyThe Hold the Fat Lady achievement in NBA 2K11 worth 50 pointsStart the 4th period losing by 10 or more points and win with any team, in a non-simulated game.

In overtime you can make it even and win with another no time left shot for:
NBA 2K11Buzzer BeaterThe Buzzer Beater achievement in NBA 2K11 worth 48 pointsMake a game winning shot with no time left on the clock, in a non-simulated game.

Personally I did this during an Association game to count towards the 30 games needed to be played in my conquest for:
NBA 2K11Home CourtThe Home Court achievement in NBA 2K11 worth 110 pointsEarn the NBA's best record in The Association mode (at least 30 games played).

So there you have it, 3 achievements and another association win out of one 28 minute game instead of playing through three different 20+ minute games.
