This achievement is Trials – Chapter XII, awarded for completing the trial in Chapter XII, which is actually pretty easy.

First things first, to unlock this achievement you'll have to defeat the final boss without allowing him to hit you with oppositely-charged magic. In other words, if you're using Light Magic, you can't let him hit you with Shadow and vice versa.

My suggestion is to avoid using magic in general. Sure, the fight will take a lot longer, but you don't run the risk of accidentally failing the trial (although, you could always retry from the previous checkpoint if that happens). Naturally, this process is made significantly easier by setting the difficulty to 'Squire,' so you should probably do that, too.

When you find yourself getting low on health, wait until he's switched to Shadow and hit him with a blast of Ultimate Light to quickly regain some life (and do some decent damage, too). Ultimate Shadow would work as well (assuming he's Light), but I found it a bit more difficult to maneuver (and, therefore, a bit harder to avoid taking damage).

Then just proceed as normal, fighting him until the final cutscene.

On the other hand, if you're sufficiently comfortable with your abilities, use magic all you want. Hitting him continuously with Ultimate Light or Ultimate Shadow can keep him from ever getting an attack in, so that may be a much better option, if you can sustain it.

Of course, any mistakes can quickly be erased by retrying, so it ultimately comes down to a question of patience no matter how you approach it.

Note, however, that those circles that appear on the ground when he's stunned DO NOT count against this trial, so you don't need to be overly cautious during those segments.

I found this trial to be much easier than some of the others (beating the Titans, for instance), as I managed to nab it on my first attempt. Just be careful and it shouldn't be too hard.
