This achievement could take a few tries, but here are some useful (at least I think they are) tips for those who are looking to attain this achievement.

1) Fast reaction - This is I think the most important tip I can give. The bottom line is: you need to be fast. This is like playing a real life table tennis match. Rallies are going to be on the long side, therefore concentration is the key. Keep you eyes on the ball at all times.

React quickly to your opponent's shots, especially top spins (the ones that come onto you hard and fast and have an orange trail).

Shuffle left and right as per necessary and recover to the centre position every time after you return a shot.

2) Control - You have control on two things in this game. The direction of the ball and the spin. If the opponent is standing to the right, hit the ball to the left and vice versa. If you are right handed, try to bottom-spin the ball (you hit bottom-spins when you lower your hand while hitting) to the left hand side of the table. and when the ball is returned, immediately top-spin it to the far right, I've managed to score quite a few points that way.

3) Smashes - when you get the chance to smash, you have two options. Either smash to the two corners of the table, or smash the ball directly at the opponent's body. The latter catches the opponent in an awkward position and as a result, hampers their ability to return the ball, just like in a real ping pong match. The former moves the opponent away from one side of the table, which opens up an opportunity for you to score on the other side.

When you are smashing, don't get carried away, sometimes your opponent will manage to return the ball without giving you the chance for another smash. This return is often top-spun (which means fast), so be vigilant.

4) Minimize your own mistakes - this is pretty obvious. Try not to make stupid mistakes like hitting the ball out of bound or mistiming a shot. This can cost you in the long term.

I did this in 2 player co-op. I had tried it several times and it had never crossed my mind to attempt it with 2 players, whichs makes it so much easier.

We still got our asses handed to us a couple of times just by the opposition blasting body shots at us.

We realised eventually that it was best to both stand at the corners of the table and hit every shot as a backhand. Stand with your legs apart and slightly bent, and don't move to get the shots just lean. We barely missed any shots this way.

Don't try to hit the ball hard, just get your paddle to it. It should require minimal movement, and it's suprising how many 'slow' shots the opponents will actually miss.

When you get a smash opportunity, this is the only time you move from your position and do a normal forehand smash.

The opponents always alternate who takes the shot, so try and take advantage of this by aiming your smashes right back at the guy who just hit the ball - thanks Drabik!
