It seems quite impossible to score a point with your feet. Don't even bother. (If you can do it, tell me how.)

Instead, make sure that when the ball is hit to your side, you hit it first. Your partner, AI or otherwise, will pop it up for you. Then, instead of jumping for the ball, lean way over until your head is in its downward path. It may take a few tries before your can get your head in just the right spot, but when you do, the ball will fly forward similar to a spike. On the lowest difficulty you will usually get a point this way. Good luck!
