Accumulator is a fun battle mode. Your objective is to maximize your banked streaks. You bank your streak by hitting the euphoria button. When you do this, your current streak is added to the current banked streak. Whenever you make a mistake, breaking your streak, you return to your last banked one.
You begin with three possibilities of banking, and you gain more by hitting perfect regions, just like the euphoria.
This one is easily boostable with a friend on-line or locally with two turntables (As confirmed by Mariotoo, thanks).
Here are some tips, if you're going for it legit.
1) You don't get more than three banks, so whenever you see a perfect region, if you have three banks, hit the euphoria button. This will accumulate you're current streak. Watch out to not make a mistake doing this.
2) Always choose mixes you're used to, in a difficulty you can almost full combo it. The system "randomly" chooses which player chooses the mixes, and you get a 50/50 chance to get your song.
3) Know the difficult parts of your songs. Save banks for these parts, so if you make a mistake, you don't lose too much.
4) If your opponent is on a higher difficult, and he has a high grade, don´t even bother. He will probably outplay you because he will have a higher chance of having a bigger streak. Use the time to practice and enjoy the song. Maybe, you can even win if he makes a stupid mistake in the end. That happened with me.
5) Last but not least, do not quit. The worst thing for me is when someone will surely lose and then quits. And that happens a lot, so don't give up.
If you manage to win and your banked streak is 50 over the streak of your opponent, you gain a point for the achievement. Do this 10 times and the achievement is yours.
To speed up the process. Search for one mixes only. Most of the people do that or leave blank.

Aim: To get the "Accumulate!" achievement in the fastest time possible.
Requirements for Method:
Self-boosting with 2x Turntables (Get the party bundle, or buy DJ Hero 1 with a turntable and DJ Hero 2 with a turntable so you have two turntables, poor and can't afford to get two turntables? See if you can borrow a friend's - assuming you have friends who game.)
Go into Battle Mode, choose the game mode "Accumulator" and select the Mix "House of Pain - Jump Around" with "Busta Rhymes - Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See". This is the shortest mix in the game and will speed up the boosting process as the mix is only 2:22 long.
Now choose medium difficulty (you'll get a streak of 50 on this difficulty relatively fast and without too much hassle or requirement of complex moves like crossfade spikes/directional scratching etc) and as soon as you get a streak of 50 bank your streak using the euphoria button (assuming you're competent at medium difficulty, if not you can bank twice before you have a streak of 50 but the third bank needs to show your streak at 50 or higher) and once you have banked a streak of 50 or more you're free to go on your laptop and talk on facebook or watch some family guy or something. Your other turntable won't be doing anything so will have a streak of 0 hence why you don't need to worry about having to play the rest of mix once your streak is at least 50.
When the mix is over and you've seen the stats screen press retry (not restart mix) and you'll have 1/10 added to your achievement count without having to navigate all the menus again to set up this sweet little boosting method. Once you've done this 9 more times the achievement is yours and you're home and dry, enjoy an easy and quick boost to your TA ratio.  |
