After getting the Firestorm power, I straight away uploaded a new game in moved into the Landgraab Household, It took a while to start with, The main fireball tends to land in the kitchen more often that not. Luckily enough none of the Landgraabs are Brave, both adults will just scream at the fire and the child will run out and faint somewhere.

WARNING... Don't let any of the Landgraabs die, the Grim reaper will appear and all your hard work burning will be brought to a halt. So make sure you know where all 3 of them are.

Firstly sell the fire alarm, or you'll have the fire department ruing your achievement attempt.

In the kitchen I brought a lot more counter tops, most expensive ones and then placed Laptops on them. I did try other items but Laptops seemed to burn better, (please suggest in comments if there's better items to place)

If the fire doesn't start in the Kitchen you can always initiate the Power again, Luckily its only 15 Points.

This also is a great chance to get the "But it's Inflammable!" achievement, Malcolm caught on fire at one point when I was trying to get this and got the achievement.

    Happy Simming :D

Swinny CostelloGreat solution. I trapped all 3 sims in a makeshift room outside before I started the firestorm, so I didn't have to worry about any of them getting killed.

ThreeKingdomsRThis worked perfectly and, as noted in the solution, one of the three caught fire for me so I netted the "But it's Inflammable" achievement as well. Thanks!

Bryce MCI loaded up the kitchen with the expensive desks and laptops as in this solution, but then I also filled the walls with the most expensive paintings available. I then walled off the room, removed the doors and smoke detectors so there was no interference. Worked like a charm. Had over 33K damage once the flames died out.

Got it on my first try using this method:

    - Buy the empty lot.

    - Build a room that's about 15x15.

    - Fill it with as many Foseball Tables as possible (Buy - Entertainment - Sports), each costs $6,250. (I had bought 9 and got a check for $15,500 or close to it, so add more and rugs, they help a bit)

    - Fill your Karma Powers to 100.

    - Use all the points to raindown as many Firestorms as possible.

Via Lushion Rudd, "To get an empty lot go to the town map, then click on your current house. You will see the option to replace house. Upon replacing the house you will be given a list of housing options, one being an empty lot."

    Thanks.

First, wait until you're up to 100 Karma points.

Next, prep your house as follows:
    1. Remove as many interior walls as you can. Walls act as firebreaks. The fire is more likely to spread throughout the house the fewer walls there are. This makes it unimportant where the fire actually starts.
    2. Fill up your house with expensive stuff that burns easily. Expensive beds are a great choice. Wooden tables, bookcases, chairs, etc. are all good. Paintings and curtains are also good, especially since there are some expensive ones to choose from. Computers and electronics do burn, but I tried this achievement several times by stocking up on computers and never got it, whereas I got it easily with beds (specifically, the slave double bed) and paintings.
    3. Leave plenty of floor space also. Floor space is very important. A meteorite won't start a fire if it hits an object; you'll only get a fire if the meteorite strikes the floor. Also, fires spread only via the floor.
    4. Sell the fire alarm.
    5. Get your Sims out of the house.
    6. Remove all exits. (I had one attempt at this achivement ruined by a brave maid.) No one gets in.

At this point, do a save. Then start using the Firestorm power. You can use it up to 6 times if you have a full Karma meter. Hopefully, you'll get more than one good fire going. It will take a while for the fire to run its course. In that time, if midnight rolls around, you may get enough Karma points to use Firestorm again. Do it! (This ended up being a key factor for me winning the achievement.)

If the fire burns out and you don't get enough of a payout to unlock the achievement, reload your save and try again.

    Good luck!

PackageDonkeyGot this achievement and the "Not Dead Yet" achievement using your method. Mrs. Landgraab cornered herself and burned to death. You get a positive vote from me.
