Finally an interesting case. My personal favorite for this game.
Let's get it on!
Marst Family Chalet
====================
Let's explore the place a little bit. Look at the sofas on the right for
points. Next, look at the mud prints next to the bed. Process to get MUDDY
FOOTPRINTS, FOUND NEAR THE BODY OF MARY MARST.
Look at the broken machine next to the body. Get BROKEN PIECES OF MARY MARST'S
MORPHINE REGULATOR. Look at the bag next to it and process near the top of it
to find FINGERPRINT FOUND ON THE MORPHINE BAG IN MARY MARST'S HOSPICE ROOM.
Look at the body and leave the room. Look up for points. Go to the shiny bust
in the corner. Process the footprints to get MUDDY FOOTPRINTS, FOUND NEAR THE
BUST OF FRANK MARST. Then look at the bust and process to get SCORING FOUND ON
BRONZE BUST OF FRANK MARST.
Go upstairs, approach the door in front of you and then go right for points.
Let's talk to the nurse now. Question Pauline Liu until you can't.
Well, could be mercy killing, assisted suicide or outright murder. And we know
the three suspects already. Pretty cool to see we won't be chasing for
suspects for once. Classic whoddunnit case.
Let's see what the other woman has to say. Question Jayne Barrett until you
can't. Oh, a motive appears. Turns out the victim was quite rich and on her
death bed. And her brother John ran out of here.
So since we have no idea where he could be, let's go back to the lab. I
suggest you visit the usual spots for thoroughness : The lab, the
interrogation room, the morgue & Brass just like the previous case. You should
be at 62% Thoroughness.
Main Lab
========
First, go to the macroscope and compare both footprints. Match!
Go to the reconstruction table. There's only 3 big pieces you need to fit.
You'll get ID NUMBER FOR MARY MARST'S MORPHINE REGULATOR & METAL SHAVING,
FOUND IN DEBRIS OF BROKEN REGULATOR.
Go to the microscope, compare the bust scoring and the metal shaving. Match!
Do a chemical search of the shaving. 3,5,6,7. Match!
Do a medical search on the ID number. You'll find evidence of a likely murder
weapon.
Finally, do a search of the fingerprint on the morphine bag.
So, someone used the busted the regulator and likely killed the victim with
the button. On top of that, her sister was caught for THAT?! Suspicious, ain't
it?
Let's go see Brass for a warrant. Present the fingerprint on the morphine bag
as evidence.
Interrogation Room

Question her until she claims not to have touched it. Use the fingerprint to
shut down her statement.
Do the same thing when she acts appalled with the idea of assisted suicide.
Oh. The "I was with them but not really" argument. Continue questioning her.
Looks like she has a solid and quite convenient alibi. You'll get SECURITY
SYSTEM RECORDS CONFIRMING JAYNE BARRETT'S ALIBI & PHOTO OF BRAKE VALVE SCORING
FROM MARY MARST'S CAR ACCIDENT for your troubles.
Let's go to the morgue for now.
MORGUE

After the never-ending chat with Doc Robbins, you'll get MARY MARST'S
FINGERPRINTS. Examine her left hand to pick up TINY SHARD OF UNKNOWN MATERIAL,
FOUND ON THE BACK OF VICTIM'S HAND.
Main Lab
========
Do a chemichal search on the shard. 1,4,5,7.
It's a fake nail. You'll get a warrant from Brass but ignore it for now.
Finally, use the document analysis with the security records.

Let's go ask Brass for a warrant. Use the shard of fake nail as leverage.
Interrogation Room

Present her fake nail when she claims it's her real ones.
Finish questioning her and then leave to the new crime scene.
Lakeside Docks, Marst Family Chalet

Scroll to the right and go closer to the motor oil. Take SAMPLE OF MOTOR OIL,
FOUND BY THE SIDE OF THE LAKE.
Back out and go downstairs. Check the prints for FOOTPRINTS IN LAKESIDE MUD,
MADE BY JOHN BARRETT.
Back out, go near the docks and go into the boat for points. Go back and talk
to John. Question him and... get blown off basically. Damn punk!
Go back to the lab.
Main Lab
========
Let's force him to talk. Go to the macroscope. Compare his prints with the
ones next to the bust and also to the ones near the bed. Match and match!
We have a warrant so let's go see Brass and present the footprint as basis.
It'll take some time so back to the lab.
Agent Huntby will give you STATUE OF ST. AMBROSE, USED TO MURDER UMBERTO
SALAZAR & REFERENCE SAMPLE OF BEATRIZ SALAZAR'S DNA. Shouldn't be too hard.
Check the statue to collect DNA SAMPLE TAKEN FROM A STATUE USED IN THE MURDER

After all that mess, we received the go for the warrant so let's go to the
new crime scene.
John Barrett's bedroom

Go to the left of the bed, look into the trash and grab SHARD OF FAKE NAIL,
FOUND IN JOHN BARRETT'S TRASH. Examine the white substance on it for GENETIC
MATERIAL ATTACHED TO A FRAGMENT OF FAKE NAIL FOUND IN JOHN BARETT'S TRASH.
Look into the bed and pick up USED LINGERIE, COLLECTED FROM JOHN BARETT'S
BEDROOM. Kinky. Too bad we can't pick up the handcuffs as well. Anyway, check
the inside of the lingerie and find SAMPLE OF FEMALE GENETIC MATERIAL FOUND ON
LINGERIE TAKEN FROM JOHN BARRETT'S ROOM & SAMPLE OF MALE EJACULATE, TAKEN
FROM LINGERIE FOUND IN JOHN BARETT'S ROOM.
Open the wardrobe, look at the shoes and take MUDDY SHOES COLLECTED FROM THE
BEDROOM OF JOHN BARRETT. Location searched!
Finally, we need to go back to the lab. By the way, 95% Thoroughness so far.

Go to chemical, compare both shards of fake nail. Match!

Go to the boat, pick up FINGER PUPPET, OF GREAT SENTIMENTAL VALUE TO JOHN
BARRETT.

Talk with John. He mentions that they talked with Morse Code and that Mary
would spell Jayne's name when she visited. So let's check the records again.

Do a medical search on those records again.

one shoe. Get HAIR, WITH ROOT TAG, FOUND ON MUDDY SHOES FROM JOHN BARRETT'S
BOAT.

Indeed, she framed poor John. Let's go see Brass for a warrant. Use the hair
as proof.
