This achievement is for playing the game for thirty hours. Time in battle counts, and it seems when you are cruising the menus the time counts as well. So you could hypothetically leave it on all night for a few days, but if you want to 100% this, don't bother. I just got it and I've still got plenty of dream modes and the 5k kill achievements to do.

The achievement popped for me after the stage ended.
