For a game with absolutely no information anywhere on the net, this will have to be a start.
Beginner Course (Course 1) My Course Time: 30:66 3 Perfect Jumps 100% Clean Jump 100% Path Precision Avg Speed 20mph
Lifetime 668 Perfect Jumps, 235 Competitions
Course Time 31:28 is a Platinum.
Things Ive learned from this course: 1. Only for Obstacle courses, you can move your hands back at the start to rev the horse before moving the reigns. That'll give a minor speed boost. Unfortunately, its a mediocre boost but you truly need every little speed boost you can in this game. 2. The best way to jump in this game is to do it early. You should be rising up by the middle of the box. Since there is input lag delay, if you do it too late, you lose a lot of speed after the jump or worse, fault and lose 4 seconds. The worst that happens when you do it too early is that you'll fault, but thats absolutely jumping the gun. If not, you'll keep the same speed, even if it doesn't count as a Perfect Jump. (Obstacle courses are time based, not jump based)
Short Race (Course 2) My Course Time: 37:83 1 Perfect Jump 100% Clean Jump Avg Racing Speed 38mph
Lifetime 242 Competitions (7 Tries)
Course Time 40:84 is a Gold.
Author's Note: Odd that this is the only Race of the Horseback Riding challenges. The Long race is a Uplay bonus, which isn't a standard challenge.
Novice Course (Course 3) My Course Time: 38:82 5 Perfect Jump 100% Clean Jump 89% Path Precision Avg Speed: 18mph
Lifetime 1118 Perfect Jump, 356 Competitions (114 Tries)
Course Time 39:55 is a Platinum.
Things Ive learned from this course: 1. You can still accelerate while turning. That would seem obvious in a controller based racing game, but not here. If anything, it seems more reliable than accelerating straight.
Intermediate Course (Course 4) My Course Time: 48:02 8 Perfect Jumps 100% Clean Jump 83% Path Precision Avg Speed: 18mph
Lifetime 1220 Perfect Jump, 376 Competitions (20 Tries)
Course Time 50:00 is a Gold? I think.
This was my first good clean run for this level. I did pretty piss poorly for a clean run but it was good enough for Diamond.
Advanced Course (Course 5) My Course Time: 58:97 8 Perfect Jumps 100% Clean Jump 89% Path Precision Avg Speed: 19mph
Lifetime 1434 Perfect Jump, 411 Completions (35 Tries- I should note starting from Advanced Course, I started to retry more since I didn't feel like completing the course to continue)
Course Time 59:97 is Platinum
Not a difficult course but the Water jump makes it very frustrating. You can do everything correctly and it won't give it to you. You're basicly stuck trying and hoping it lets you go. You need to keep your speed up more than the Intermediate course but not as strictly as the Beginner Course.
Deluxe Course (Course 6) My Course Time: 1:00:20 10 Perfect Jumps 100% Clean Jumps 95% Path Precision Avg Speed: 19mph
Lifetime 1525 Perfect Jump, 425 Completions (14 Tries- I should note starting from Advanced Course, I started to retry more since I didn't feel like completing the course to continue)
Course Time 1:05:18 is Gold
If you've been getting Diamonds along the way, its more of the same thing. Prep your jump early so you're rising up on the arrow. Accelerating while you turn is important as well. The water jump on this level is not as annoying as the Advanced Course. Once you get the course layout down, it is pretty simple.
Super Deluxe Course (Course 7) Course Time: 1:29:51 8 Perfect Jumps 100% Clean Jumps 90% Path Precision Avg Speed: 19mph
Lifetime 1684 Perfect Jump, 443 Completions (18 Tries- I should note starting from Advanced Course, I started to retry more since I didn't feel like completing the course to continue)
Course Time 1:31:42 is Platinum
This last course is a pain in the butt. Its twisty and windy and has you turning all over the place. Everything you've learned so far is important to carry over to this level on top of one more new thing..
Things Ive learned from this course: Learn to prepare your jump while turning a corner so you can jump the moment your cornering is complete.
This level does a pretty good job of autocorrecting jumps assuming you do your jump early. Its the only real way you'll make it through this level with a Diamond time. Jump too late and you'll either fault or slow down- which you can't afford either. |
