to make this really easy on yourself, grab a DLC board (I prefer Sabre's but any will do) then get in a crouch/lunge position facing your tv, now lean side to side (you only need a little movement on the DLC boards) and this will have you going at top speed down the mountain.

you won't need to do jumps and tricks and just avoid the sides and your opponents should be left in the dust close to the start line.
