This is fairly simple to do with the shielded enemies. The shield protects them but you can still keep a combo going on them. In the first level when you first see them, keep attacking with the heavy disc. The first time, I got 14X but later on in the level, you will find 3 or 4 of them and between all of them you will get 15X. If you're quick enough, you can also get 30 which is the maximum amount.
