Quite a simple achievement to get.
If you're not sure on the level layout just play through a couple of times to get a feel for the level.
When aiming for the speed run don't stop running at all. You can easily get through this level without letting go of the D-pad.

The trick to obtaining this is to stay as high up the level as you can - the higher up parts are pretty much straight forward whereas there's a lot of backtracking and obstacles when you venture downwards.
Try to avoid collecting every ring, item or destroying all enemies. Some may benefit however such as invincibility stars or landing on an enemy in a way that it propels you upwards or forwards a bit more.
Just focus on running forwards as fast as you can and this shouldn't prove as hard as it sounds. |

This really isn't too hard. If you're having trouble, check out the speed run by this guy. He finishes 1-1 in :25.
