The highest grade is A.
The easiest way to get an A on your photo is to make sure the enemy is fully in the frame and facing you (it will also probably have to be your first shot of this particular enemy, as subsequent ones will get lower grades).
Other things that will help get you an A are having multiple enemies in the photo, and photographing an enemy during an "action shot" (e.g. when an enemy is attacking you or a Spider Splicer is on the ceiling). |

Take a grade A research photo.
Easiest done if you can get an action shot of a big daddy attacking you. Best way to do it is stand quite far away. Take a shot at the big daddy then as it runs towards you take a photograph.
You will also get a bonus if there are multiple subjects in the photo. Eg little sister or a splicer.
As soon as you get a grade A phtograph the achievment is yours |

This achievement requires you to get the highest grade on a research photo, which is A out of an A,B, or C basis.
There are factors that apply to a heightened grade, which are:
1. Closeness to the center the subject is
2. Multiple subjects
3. Action shot (ie. on fire/electrocuted, hitting, shooting, climbing, throwing)
There is also negative influences, such as:
1. Taking a photo of something already photographed (this greatly reduces grade)
2. Subject is dead
For a good probability of an A, try waiting until a splicer walks into hacked security camera, then light him/her on fire. Or if this isn't working too well light a Big Daddy on fire, get close, and take a picture when it pushes you away, preferably while you have the Static Discharge plasmid equipped.
