| Hack any security bot in Rapture. The easiest way to do this is to let a security camera see you and set of the alarm, run around and wait till the time goes to zero. Then electro bolt the bot and then go over and hack it. |

The first Security Bot in the game is the one jammed in the door next to the vending machine in the Medical Pavilion foyer. Hack it to get the achievement (and unstick the door, allowing you access forward).
The hacking minigame itself is interesting. It closely resembles the game Pipe Dream (or Pipe Mania) in which you have to make a continuous pipeline from point A to point B. The catch is that the liquid will start flowing whether you're ready or not. The good news: the first time you hack a security bot, the game will be nice to you and the minigame will be particularly easy.
Putting the pipes together should be pretty self-evident. No need to worry about anything fancy just yet. You'll know if two pipes are connected because the game will make the connected pipes slightly larger.
Save when you get to this bot so that you can try hacking it again if you fail.
If you happen to miss this opportunity and haven't saved (the bot will explode if you fail the hack), you can always find plenty later in the game. You'll encounter many naturally, and you can lure more by getting caught by security cameras. Shocking the bots with plasmids is a great way to stun them; in this prone position, it is easy to approach them and initiate the minigame. |

This achievement requires you to hack a security bot, the flying robots with machine guns.
In the beginning of the Medical Pavilion round in the beginning of the game, a security bot is jamming an automatic door. This one cant be auto-hacked or bought out, and if you fail hacking it, it will explode.
If you fail here it also can be done these ways:
•Get caught by an enemy camera, shock a hostile security bot (red lights), then hack it.
•Hack a security camera and wait until it catches an enemy, then shock a neutral security bot (yellow lights) then hack it.
•Wait until an alarm is on and then use a security override switch if present, then hack the deactivated security bot(s).
• If you see an enemy with a hacked security bot (red lights and red waves coming from it/it's owner), either shock the security bot and hack it or kill it's owner, which deactivates it, then hack it.
•In the security area of Point Prometheus there are a bunch of deactivated ones you can easily hack. |
