How to unlock the All Costumes Complete achievement

In order to obtain this achievement, iirc, you need to obtain all the costumes for each of the Face/Heel characters, as well as the costumes for each of the Lambda (Edit) characters. This means you need around 340,000 RR$ for each character.

The outfits for the Face/Heel characters are unlocked through the guide in Plague 76's solution. The Lambda characters start with everything unlocked.

The easiest way, IMO, to grind out the money is to pair a Lambda character with a Face/Heel character. Set each Lambda to Shooter 1 & Strike for their characteristics. Play as the Lambda and only look for Tag & 2 vs 1 Handicap matches. Set difficulty to "Hard". Perform the following moves as the Lambda:

Left Stick moved to the right + Y
Left Stick moved down + Y
Left Stick moved to the left + Y
    B to pin

If you do it right, you'll win the match in roughly 17-20 seconds. You'll earn roughly 2100 $ per win for a Tag match. Once you win the Tag Championship title, your win $ will increase to 3040-ish. Just make sure that the Face/Heel you are paired with does not have the Tag Title.

Once you have the required amount of money, purchase all outfits for that Lambda and Face/Heel character. Move to the next Lambda pairing. Once you get all the Face/Heel's taken care of, pair two Lambdas together. Rather than grinding out 340,000 for 50 characters, you can halve the time necessary.

I did not come up with the move set nor the move combos. I'm sorry, but I can't remember where I read it. Think it was on Xbox360achievements, so credit goes to whoever figured that out.

NaranekTag matches are certainly the way to go.

    A couple of small mistakes/improvements.

    1. It’s 1 vs 2 you want, not 2 vs 1.

    2. If you win 4-5 street fights with each Edit their rep will be above 90% and you will get 3060 from each Tag match from the very first match.

    3. Swap out the Edit or Rose for another partner as soon as they have all the costumes. No point having one partner with 20,000 left over (that’s 7 unnecessary matches).

    4. If you haven't unlocked all the costumes for the 10 Roses you unlock you should start by playing as the Rose with an Edit as your partner. Tag in the Edit to win the match fast. As soon as you have unlocked the last costume switch to playing as the Edit.

LV 1 Blue Slime is incorrect when they say you have to win the matches to unlock the costumes. Losing 80 matches also unlocks the costumes. It is faster to lose than to win, so you might want to do that with the unlocked Roses and they play as an Edit.

Rumble Roses XXAll Costumes CompleteThe All Costumes Complete achievement in Rumble Roses XX worth 522 pointsAll characters have obtained all costumes.

To unlock this achievement, you must purchase all Edit Costumes and Swimsuits from The Shop with all 50 characters. Those 50 characters include all 20 Roses and the 30 Lambda Edit characters. In order to purchase the Costumes and Swimsuits, you must first unlock them by defeating opponents in "REWARD" matches to make them available at the shop. To earn a reward match, you'll have to complete various in-game objectives tied to each character; but there are also other more optimized ways to make them available. As for the 30 Lambda Edit characters, all edit costumes are automatically unlocked for purchase with the exception of the swimsuits. For an extensive breakdown on how to unlock every costume, see below:

    Unlocking Costumes for Default Roses
To unlock most of the costumes for the 10 default Roses, you can simply Start Up the game 245 times. To perform a "start up", follow these simple steps:

How to do a Start Up
    1. From the Main Menu, select "Load Game" and then go to the "Locker Room"
    2. From there, select "Options".
    3. Then scroll over to "Data Save" and save your game.
    4. Exit the Locker Room, press cn_B then Exit to the Main Menu.
    5. Repeat Steps 1 through 5.

As you repeatedly start up the game, reward matches for costumes will become progressively available on the map. After completing the 245 start ups, proceed to the reward match(es), defeat the opponent wearing the unlockable costume, and it will be made available at the shop for said character. This method is much faster than pursuing the default requirements tied to each character. You can even play and win the reward matches as the Lambda Edit characters to unlock the costumes for the shop. However, the only costumes that will NOT be unlocked this way are the 2 Marine Gift swimsuits for each character. Unlock requirements for those will be detailed further below.

Note: To see how many Start Ups you currently have, go to the Locker Room and select Records > Total Data.

    Maid Costumes
To unlock the Maid Costume for the default characters, purchase the Digital Camera from The Shop. Go to the Locker Room and select "Photo Shoot". Now take 2 pictures of said character. The Reward match will then pop up for the maid costume after returning to the map menu. Reward matches for the maid costumes may also appear after doing a set amount of start ups. This only applies to the default Roses.

    Marine Gifts (Default Roses)
To unlock the 2 Marine Gift swimsuits, you must use all 26 penalties on an opponent under the Queens match type at the Island Resort; some of these penalty actions must first be purchased from the Shop to use. However, there is another much shorter way to unlock the reward matches tied to these swimsuits: by playing a total of 116 Queens matches with a single character. You can even start a Queens match, pause the game, then exit out and it will still count as 1 match played. But whichever character you do this with, you'll have to win all 20 of the reward matches as that same character to unlock the Marine Gifts for the other default Roses.

Alternatively, if you have a turbo controller, you can unlock the Marine Gift items without even having to play the game. But first you must go into Options > Match Rules and set the Normal Match Length to 1 minute. After that, simply highlight the Island Resort venue, then set up your turbo like so: Have the cn_LS pressed upward, and set the rapid fire to the cn_X, cn_Y and cn_A buttons. Then leave the game idle for around 3 hours. The controller will automatically start up matches (usually ending with a Times Up) repeatedly every minute. Once you return, the reward matches for both the Flower and Scallop Marine Gift suits should appear on the map for all default characters (at the Island Resort). The only downside to using a turbo controller is your character will lose Popularity and you won't make a significant amount of money. But this way is much faster than having to fulfill the alternate requirements of playing 260 Queens matches across the 10 default characters using all the penalties. But as a reminder, you'll still have to win those 20 reward matches as that same character, and then the Marine Gifts will be unlocked for all 10 default Roses. Don't forget to revert the Normal Match Length time under Options once all reward matches have been unlocked!

Note: Using the above method, it is recommended to use Miss Spencer to unlock, play, and win the Reward matches tied to the Marine Gift suits. This is because she has an Atomic Drop Infinite that allows you to win the 20 reward matches very quickly without much effort. To set it up, simple press cn_left + cn_Y repeatedly when behind your opponent.

    Unlocking Swimsuits
To unlock Swimsuits at the shop, you must win matches at the 3 main venues while wearing a Rose's unique swimsuit. These venues include: the Arena, Red Valley, and Sky Scraper. To put on a unique swimsuit, go to the Locker Room and select "Customize". From there, go to the "Costume" tab, press cn_A then press cn_right to highlight the unique swimsuit for selection. The swimsuit should usually be to the right of their default costume. After that, exit back to the map menu and win a match at all 3 venues while wearing it. The swimsuit will then be available at the Shop for the other Roses to purchase. After fulfilling these requirements, there will NOT be a notification that a swimsuit is unlocked. So if you feel the need to, change characters and check the "Swimsuits" section of the Shop to see if it unlocked.

    Unlocking Costumes for Alter Egos
These are far more straightforward. To unlock all costumes for the other 10 Alter Ego Roses, play 80 matches with each character and the reward matches for them will progressively unlock along the way. Actually, if you intend on completing this game, then you'll naturally earn these Reward Matches over time. This is because it requires much more than 80 match victories just to come up with the required 332,000 RR to buy all costumes. Regardless, after you have at least played 80 matches with said alter ego, go and win the reward matches and all costumes will be made available at the shop.

    How to Earn Money
After you've unlocked all of the costumes, then comes the most time-consuming part of this achievement: obtaining enough money to actually buy them all. For each of the 20 Roses, you must earn 332,000 RR to buy all costumes. As for each of the 30 Lambdas, it will cost 341,000 RR. There are two main methods used to grind for money in this game: Tag Matches and turbo controlling Street Fights. But before grinding, ensure that you have the difficulty setting on HARD; the higher the difficulty (and current popularity of your character/opponent), the more money you earn for each victory. The only exception to this is if you choose to use a turbo controller to grind for money; you'll want to set the difficulty to a lower setting for that approach. Provided below are some of the most efficient ways to earn money in the game. Simply click the spoilers for details:

    Street Fights

Overall, Tag Matches are definitely the fastest way to grind for money in the game. But if you have a Turbo controller, it also can be useful tool for gradually racking up money in Street Fights if you're not too keen on actually playing the game. Sonic GrungeUsing the queens matches for the unlock roses speeds up the 80 matches, as you need to do them anyway, they count towards grinding for title matches, and you can usually win them in 45 seconds.

NaranekThis is a well written compilation of information. I know this game well, and almost all guides have similar mistakes or poor recommendations.

    1. To unlock both Marine Gifts with the default Roses you have to win 27 fights, not 26.

    2. To unlock Marine Gifts you do not need to purchase 7 penalties if the opponent already has the penalty unlocked. I purchased a total of 21 spread evenly across 10 default Roses. Always pick the unlock penalties first (make a checklist). If by fight 26 you are still missing a penalty, you can either waste time resetting to get a different opponent (3 in 20 chance), or just buy it which will increase the odds of it coming up for the next character you are working on.

    3. ALWAYS do tag matches, and always as an Edit, for 6120 RR in 17 seconds + loading times. The first 20 Edits should be partnered with a Rose, then you have 5 Edits left partnered with another Edit. As soon as a partner has all the costumes swap them out. With each new Edit win 4-5 street fights to get your rep above 90% for the maximum winnings.

The solutions by LV 1 Blue Slime on how to unlock the all costumes for the 10 Roses you unlock are wrong. You do not need to win 80 matches, you only need to complete 80 matches. Play as an unlocked Rose with an Edit partner. If a tag match was available that I could finish in 20 seconds with my Edit I would do that. Otherwise I would lose, which also takes about 20 seconds. As soon as you have all costumes unlocked make sure you play as the Edit to get double RR.
