To unlock this achievement, you must purchase all Edit Costumes and Swimsuits from The Shop with all 50 characters. Those 50 characters include all 20 Roses and the 30 Lambda Edit characters. In order to purchase the Costumes and Swimsuits, you must first unlock them by defeating opponents in "REWARD" matches to make them available at the shop. To earn a reward match, you'll have to complete various in-game objectives tied to each character; but there are also other more optimized ways to make them available. As for the 30 Lambda Edit characters, all edit costumes are automatically unlocked for purchase with the exception of the swimsuits. For an extensive breakdown on how to unlock every costume, see below:
Unlocking Costumes for Default Roses To unlock most of the costumes for the 10 default Roses, you can simply Start Up the game 245 times. To perform a "start up", follow these simple steps:
How to do a Start Up1. From the Main Menu, select "Load Game" and then go to the "Locker Room"
2. From there, select "Options".
3. Then scroll over to "Data Save" and save your game.
4. Exit the Locker Room, press
then Exit to the Main Menu.
5. Repeat Steps 1 through 5.
As you repeatedly start up the game, reward matches for costumes will become progressively available on the map. After completing the 245 start ups, proceed to the reward match(es), defeat the opponent wearing the unlockable costume, and it will be made available at the shop for said character. This method is much faster than pursuing the default requirements tied to each character. You can even play and win the reward matches as the Lambda Edit characters to unlock the costumes for the shop. However, the only costumes that will NOT be unlocked this way are the 2 Marine Gift swimsuits for each character. Unlock requirements for those will be detailed further below.
Note: To see how many Start Ups you currently have, go to the Locker Room and select Records > Total Data.
Maid CostumesTo unlock the Maid Costume for the default characters, purchase the Digital Camera from The Shop. Go to the Locker Room and select "Photo Shoot". Now take 2 pictures of said character. The Reward match will then pop up for the maid costume after returning to the map menu. Reward matches for the maid costumes may also appear after doing a set amount of start ups. This only applies to the default Roses.
Marine Gifts (Default Roses)To unlock the 2 Marine Gift swimsuits, you must use all 26 penalties on an opponent under the Queens match type at the Island Resort; some of these penalty actions must first be purchased from the Shop to use. However, there is another much shorter way to unlock the reward matches tied to these swimsuits: by playing a total of 116 Queens matches with a single character. You can even start a Queens match, pause the game, then exit out and it will still count as 1 match played. But whichever character you do this with, you'll have to win all 20 of the reward matches as that same character to unlock the Marine Gifts for the other default Roses.
Alternatively, if you have a
turbo controller, you can unlock the Marine Gift items without even having to play the game. But first you must go into Options > Match Rules and set the Normal Match Length to 1 minute. After that, simply highlight the Island Resort venue, then set up your turbo like so: Have the
pressed upward, and set the rapid fire to the
,
and
buttons. Then leave the game idle for around 3 hours. The controller will automatically start up matches (usually ending with a Times Up) repeatedly every minute. Once you return, the reward matches for both the Flower and Scallop Marine Gift suits should appear on the map for all default characters (at the Island Resort). The only downside to using a turbo controller is your character will lose Popularity and you won't make a significant amount of money. But this way is much faster than having to fulfill the alternate requirements of playing 260 Queens matches across the 10 default characters using all the penalties. But as a reminder, you'll still have to win those 20 reward matches as that same character, and then the Marine Gifts will be unlocked for all 10 default Roses. Don't forget to revert the Normal Match Length time under Options once all reward matches have been unlocked!
Note: Using the above method, it is recommended to use
Miss Spencer to unlock, play, and win the Reward matches tied to the Marine Gift suits. This is because she has an Atomic Drop Infinite that allows you to win the 20 reward matches very quickly without much effort. To set it up, simple press
+
repeatedly when behind your opponent.
Unlocking SwimsuitsTo unlock Swimsuits at the shop, you must win matches at the 3 main venues while wearing a Rose's unique swimsuit. These venues include: the Arena, Red Valley, and Sky Scraper. To put on a unique swimsuit, go to the Locker Room and select "Customize". From there, go to the "Costume" tab, press
then press
to highlight the unique swimsuit for selection. The swimsuit should usually be to the right of their default costume. After that, exit back to the map menu and win a match at all 3 venues while wearing it. The swimsuit will then be available at the Shop for the other Roses to purchase. After fulfilling these requirements, there will NOT be a notification that a swimsuit is unlocked. So if you feel the need to, change characters and check the "Swimsuits" section of the Shop to see if it unlocked.
Unlocking Costumes for Alter EgosThese are far more straightforward. To unlock all costumes for the other 10 Alter Ego Roses, play 80 matches with each character and the reward matches for them will progressively unlock along the way. Actually, if you intend on completing this game, then you'll naturally earn these Reward Matches over time. This is because it requires much more than 80 match victories just to come up with the required 332,000 RR to buy all costumes. Regardless, after you have at least played 80 matches with said alter ego, go and win the reward matches and all costumes will be made available at the shop.
How to Earn MoneyAfter you've unlocked all of the costumes, then comes the most time-consuming part of this achievement: obtaining enough money to actually buy them all. For each of the 20 Roses, you must earn 332,000 RR to buy all costumes. As for each of the 30 Lambdas, it will cost 341,000 RR. There are two main methods used to grind for money in this game: Tag Matches and turbo controlling Street Fights. But before grinding, ensure that you have the difficulty setting on HARD; the higher the difficulty (and current popularity of your character/opponent), the more money you earn for each victory. The only exception to this is if you choose to use a turbo controller to grind for money; you'll want to set the difficulty to a lower setting for that approach. Provided below are some of the most efficient ways to earn money in the game. Simply click the spoilers for details:
Tag Matches*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***The most popular and fastest way to earn money is by playing Tag matches. This match type can only be randomly found at the Arena, Red Valley, and Sky Scraper venues. But it's worth the search, as winning Tag matches earns money for 2 characters at the same time. Not only that, but if you pair a Rose with a custom Lambda character, you can win matches very quickly (in under 30 seconds). This tag method involves using a Lambda Edit character as Player 1 who has the Shooter 1 technique fight style assigned to them. Here is how to set it up:
1. Select a Lambda Edit and go to "Customize" from the Locker Room.
2. Go to "Technique" and assign Shooter 1 to her as a fighting style.
3. Exit Custom mode, then select "Partner Change"
4. Now simply select a character you want to grind money for as the Lambda's tag partner.
5. Start searching for and playing Tag Matches and win them by doing the following:
At the beginning of the match, anticipate your opponent, then immediately irish whip them into the right corner of the ring by pressing then , this will knock their partner off the apron. As your opponent turns around, approach her from the front and hit + to have your Lambda inflict a punch rush combo. After this, quickly pin them with ; if done correctly, their partner will not intervene and you'll pin your opponent almost every time, even on hard difficulty.
Now continue to win Tag matches this way until you have enough money to buy all costumes for that Rose. You are free to pair up any character with a Lambda and perform this trick if you need money for them. The only downside to this method is it relies on the randomized matchmaking of the RNG. You'll be spending a lot of time searching for Tag match types. But resetting the matches only takes around 15 seconds and if you happen to win the Tag Championships, you can use the "championship defense music" that plays, to know if a match you are loading will be a tag match; this speeds up the search process between resets. If there are no tag matches available and you need to reset the matches, here's a quick way to do it:
- Go to the Locker Room and select "Character Change "
- While at character select screen immediately hit
- Once back at the Locker Room hit again then select "Exit" from the Locker Room
Street Fights*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***Winning multiple Street Fights is a decent way to earn money. This is where Rumble Roses XX sort of becomes a fighting game. In this match type, the first Rose to win 2 out of 3 rounds by KO will be the winner. Start by going into the Options > Match Rules. Now set the difficulty to HARD and Street Fight Length to 1 Minute. The charge speed for Lethals should also be set to Fastest. After that, proceed to the Street Fight venue and win 150 matches with said character. This alone should be enough to earn 332,000 RR depending on the Popularity stat across the roster. However, there are downsides to this method. Each match will require up to 2 minutes. Plus, on hard difficulty, the AI will counter you frequently. At times, it will be frustrating to even land a single strike or grapple. Not only that but some characters such as Candy Cane and Benikage are very weak and take tons of damage in this match type. If they are ever matched up with Dixie Clemets or Aigle, it will be challenging to win without competent knowledge of the game's roster and mechanics. Therefore using this method may require a bit of skill and patience from the player. If you're skilled at the game and are well-versed with the roster, this can still be a legitimate way to grind for money; but it will require around 6 to 7 hours per character just to rack up enough money. If you're serious with opting for this approach, there are some general tips to help which are:
- Try abusing Killers and Lethals whenever you have them by pressing . You can build meter with taunts by flicking the .
- Use the clock to your advantage and just try to have more health than your opponent once it expires.
- You can perform a side-step by pressing + . If you strike while side stepping, you'll perform a Step Attack which will knock your opponent into the air allowing you to juggle them with strikes and Killer Moves.
- Remember to use + to counter grapples and + to reverse strike attempts. This can save you and set up your opponent for Lethal moves.
- Sometimes you can stun lock the AI by striking them against the fence or wall repeatedly.
- Beware of rising attacks as your opponents gets back up from a fall! You can block them by holding .
- If the AI whiffs a rising attack, it can be punished without them being able to counter.
- Dixie Clemets and Aigle are perfect for this mode, due to their high defense. So be sure to use them in this mode for easy victories.
- You can use a Lambda that has the "Power 3" move-set customized onto them to manually win this match type handily. The Killer Move from that move-set is the same Punch Combo move from the Shooter 1 move-set. So spam it to win Street Fights very easily!
Though, if you can't be bothered with skillfully out-smarting the AI, then try this:
Turbo Controller Method
If you have a Turbo controller, you can grind for money in Street Fights without having to actually play them. To set it up, go to the Locker Room, select Options > Match Rules > Key Config. Select your gamertag then set the button to STRIKE. Now set the button to KILLER MOVE. Exit out, then highlight the Street Fight venue. From here, you can now have your Turbo controller hit the and buttons repeatedly for you (by turning on the rapid fire). The game will automatically start up and play Street Fights for you indefinitely while you're away doing other tasks such as sleeping, working, or playing other games. The upside to this method is you can earn money passively without having to manually play the game. You'll also earn Singles Championship matches over time with most of the roster.
But be warned that the rate in which you earn money from this method will vary based on the character you use and the difficulty setting. Due to their high defense, Dixie and Aigle seem to fare just fine on HARD difficulty. However for the rest of the roster, you may have to set the difficulty to NORMAL or even EASY in order for them to win the majority of their fights. You will have to experiment yourself by observing matches for each character and adapting the difficulty from there. Luckily, you can also use this setup to passively earn money for any of the 30 Lambda Edit characters; just be sure to customize the Lambda with the "Power 3" technique and they should win the majority of the time. Though, the downside to this Turbo method is you will NOT always win your matches. In fact, for some fragile characters, you may lose most of the time. Plus, this method will take much longer to grind the money compared to playing the game manually. Take these variables into consideration before leaving your Turbo overnight for some characters. All considered, if you're looking for a more minimalistic approach to purchasing the costumes, idling Street Fights with a turbo controller is still a favorable option.
Overall, Tag Matches are definitely the fastest way to grind for money in the game. But if you have a Turbo controller, it also can be useful tool for gradually racking up money in Street Fights if you're not too keen on actually playing the game.
