    What Are Soul Seeds?
In any chaos zone there will be 1-3 Soul Seeds on the ground. A quest in Luxerion you probably did on Day 1 gave you an introduction to them.

In a play through the game, I had about 40 at the start of Day 8 with essentially all quests complete. So you'll need to farm 10+ for this achievement and 60+ to get an Elixir, which meets the requirements of another achievement.

    What are the Rewards?
Talk to Soul Seed traders to trade in Soul Seeds for gold, as well as special bonuses at specific milestones.

At 20 soul seeds, you get a Hero's Potion (Refresher in NG+)
At 40 soul seeds, you get a Crusader's Potion (Ether in NG+)
At 60 soul seeds, you get an Ether (Phoenix Wing in NG+)
At 80 soul seeds, you get a Phoenix Wing (Elixir in NG+)
At 100 soul seeds, you get an Elixir (Turbo Ether in NG+)

The actual difficulty you play on does not matter. However, the NG+ values only apply if you got the first item in your first playthrough. For instance, if you only got 40 soul seeds your first playthrough, you will get Refresher and Ether for 20 and 40, but another Ether at 60. Effectively, all this means for you is that there's no way to avoid farming 100 soul seeds.

    How to Farm Soul Seeds
    1. Complete Main Quest 2-1.

    2. Complete "Death Safari". You can pick up the quest from the guard in the industrial area in Yusnaan.

    3. Start "Death Game", located near the entrance to the industrial area, just South of the previous quest giver.

    4. Search this area for Soul Seeds. There should be 2-3 of them. At this point, other guides will have you wait an hour of in-game time. We'll do something different.

    5. Wait 1 hour of in-game time, then enter combat. When you leave (either by using escape or killing the enemy), the Soul Seeds will have respawned.

    6. Keep collecting, waiting and escaping until Death Game automatically fails. Restart the quest and continue until you have enough Soul Seeds.

MTTLXNDRCan anyone tell me; does this need to be collected in one playthrough? Or is it cumulative over multiple playthroughs?

The other solution is great, however I experimented based on something random that happened in my game and built on the "standard" farming method.

While running through the Wildlands, I ran into an area with a Chaos Infusion. However, I had just killed the last Last One in the area, so there was no monster to spawn in the infusion. Instead, there were 4~5 souls seeds laying around for free, unhindered collecting. I ran on, found a new area with other monsters and beat on them for a bit while questing, and then ran back through. The infusion was still there (no enemy to kill in it means the infusion never dissipates, apparently), along with another 4~5 soul seeds.

So I thought, can I spawn multiple infusions in Death Game to get more seeds at once before grabbing them?

    Answer: YEP!

I had already massacred all Goblins and Niblets while running around, so I only had Anubys in my Death Game runs. This solutions assumes you've done the same.

    1. When starting a Death Game farming round, go ahead and save the game, in the unlikely event that you don't find as many seeds as you should and would like to reload.
    2. Use Chronostatis so that your hour-over-hour doesn't have to change much.
    3. Attack and kill 5 Anubys. This is the important part! Each time an Anubys spawns, it creates a new Chaos Infusion during Death Game. The more infusions you create before grabbing seeds, the more seeds there will be! The "timer" on seeds doesn't start until you pick one up.
    4. Run around, and you'll find ~5 soul seeds lying around. 5 seems to be the most the game allows at one time.
    5. Let Chronostatis expire.
    6. Save, just to make sure you don't lose your hard-earned seeds.
    7. Wait 1 in-game hour.
    8. Repeat.
Pretty much a guaranteed 5-seed round, 15~20-seed run (depending on how much time you lose to clock management). Much faster than collecting 1~3 seeds on average per hour/round. Plus you get a ton more Heavy Slash and Death Herald drops than if you only kill 1 per hour, which is a good side hustle for cash.
