    In order of encounter and including all Billy Puppet puzzle solutions

    There are 102 collectibles, including 50 Case Files, 25 Puzzle Pieces, 20 Audio Tapes and 7 Billy Puppets. They are scattered throughout the campaign and some can be missed. This list describes their location in the order they are encountered. Remember if you die or fail and are put back to your previous checkpoint you will have to collect them again.

    CHAPTER ONE – CAMPBELL ( 3 Collectibles )

    PUZZLE PIECE – 1 OF 25
    A short way into the game you’ll come to your first ‘Old Tape Recorder’ where you save your game. In the corner of that room is your first puzzle piece on a chair.

    BILLY PUPPET – 1 OF 7
    After defeating the 'Bullish Man' you’ll pass through some double doors, get the coupler from the file cabinet in the red room to the left and go down the corridor. Complete the fuse puzzle and you’ll notice a coloured padlock on the door to the left. Try the combination Green 9 / Red 4 / Blue 3. If that doesn’t work go back to the red room and remember the time on the clock, the room opposite is the green room and through the locked mesh door in the green room is the blue room. Get the times of the three clocks in the rooms and enter them into the padlock, go in and collect the Billy Puppet.

    CASE FILE – 1 OF 50
    Immediately after the first Billy Puppet you’ll push a trolley onto a ‘X’ to open the door, proceed through to find the file on a box in front of you.

    CHAPTER TWO – DAVID ( 0 Collectibles )
    There are no collectibles in this chapter, it’s just a scene showing how Tapp was abducted.

    CHAPTER THREE – HENRY ( 17 Collectibles )

    CASE FILE – 2 OF 50
    You’ll come to a room rigged with a door trap, its on the shelf in front of you.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 2 OF 50
    You’ll encounter a mini-game involving a 30 second timer, swap the numbers so they read lowest to highest, you must complete this in time to unlock the room with the puzzle piece, so reload checkpoint if you fail. Proceed to your right, peek through the door and unlock it, then left through a crawlspace, round to where the guy you saved was. Go into the bathroom and then jump down, the piece is on the sink in the next room.

    CASE FILE – 3 OF 50
    In the next room you get attacked, kill the guy and the file is obvious on the dresser.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 3 OF 25
    Proceed down the long corridor to the last door on the right, peek through for the code and unlock the door, the piece is on the floor here.

    CASE FILE – 4 OF 50
    After the balance beam, take an immediate left the file is on the floor at the end of this room.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 4 OF 25
    Soon you’ll come to a room where you have to drop down through a bathroom, grab the nail in the nightstand before you do so. Go out and pick the door to your right and the piece is on the floor.

    CASE FILE – 5 OF 50
    After a small cutscene down the steps look to your left, the file is on the reception desk.

    CASE FILE – 6 OF 50
    Turning left from the last file you’ll notice an open door don’t go through yet! Instead take a left round into a toilet where you’ll find the file on the floor and a nail required for the next Billy Puppet in the toilet.

    BILLY PUPPET – 2 OF 7
    Take a right out the bathroom and go forward past the open door on your left (don’t go through) and pick the door behind reception. Go past the combo locked door and into the adjacent room to the back, turn on the water heater then return out to the sink and turn on the faucet to reveal the combination.

    AUDIO TAPE – 1 OF 20
    After a Point to point puzzle then a floor puzzle you’ll enter a room with a red ashtray next to a double door, the audio tape is on the table opposite the doors.

    CASE FILE – 7 OF 50
    After putting the clock time into the combo lock and killing a guy it’s on a round table to your far right. Don’t forget the key on his body.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 5 OF 25
    There are three manikins in the room with the last case file, each with a button on their chest, to open the door with the timer above it simply run to each before the timer runs out (activated by the first one you press). The puzzle piece is in that room.

    AUDIO TAPE – 2 OF 20
    Immediately after the floor screen puzzle its on a table on your right.

    CASE FILE – 8 OF 50
    After cutting the chain with the axe and jumping down the hole unbolt the door directly in front of you, it’s on a table here.

    CASE FILE – 9 OF 50
    After killing an enemy and going up some stairs with candles it’s on a cooker at the top in front of you.

    CASE FILE – 10 OF 50
    In the room where you deactivate the manikin buttons again, the file is on a shelf just to the left of the freezer room.

    AUDIO TAPE – 3 OF 20
    After the cutscene with Jigsaw dragging the paedophile away it’s on a chair to your right.

    CHAPTER FOUR – SARAH ( 16 Collectibles )
    CASE FILE – 11 OF 50
    A short way into the level you’ll come to the laundry room, go up the stairs and then drop down, the file is on the table.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 6 OF 25
    You’ll go outside then up a ladder then stairs, once back indoors go through into a room with a crawlspace, to the left is a bathroom, turn on your light and find the piece in the corner of the dark room through the smashed wall.

    CASE FILE – 12 OF 50
    Immediately after the crawlspace the file is on the table to your right.

    CASE FILE – 13 OF 50
    You’ll come to large room where a guy kills another guy with a Molotov and proceeds to throw them at you. Go left and up the stairs, at the top go straight and past the holes in the floor, through the room and it’s on the table in front of you, careful of the glass to the left of the file.

    BILLY PUPPET – 3 OF 7
    Take a right after the last file and you’ll come to two doors, try the combo ‘523’ on the door on your right. If that doesn’t work peek through the opposite door, evade the gun trap then peek through again and punch in the code. In this room is a flag chart on the wall showing numbers next to the flags. Go further into the room and you’ll notice the walls left, middle and right with different patterns on them, match the patterns to the flags and you’ll have your combo in the order left, middle then right. The puppet is in here.

    CASE FILE – 14 OF 50
    After pushing the pool pump to a bolted door take a right and go through the crawlspace, the file is on the table under the window on your right.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 7 OF 25
    After the spike and screen trap go through and pick up the nail from the jigsaw box, unbolt the door and pick the lock of the door on the left, walk down the hall, get ready for a button push and peek through the door on the right, evade the gun trap and get the code. The piece is on a little table to the left of the right hand purple window.

    CASE FILE – 15 OF 50
    After pushing the pump to the ‘X’ go up the ladders and the file is behind you on the sink unit.

    AUDIO TAPE – 4 OF 20
    After crossing the three beams it’s in front of you on a table.

    CASE FILE – 16 OF 50
    After dropping down the hole proceed to walk down the corridor, be ready for a button press and the file is in the dark room to your left on a table on your right.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 8 OF 25
    You’ll come to a ladder leading up, behind it is another ladder going down, go down and the piece is in front of you on a table.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 9 OF 25
    After a small cutscene with the cop Henry you’ll go through a couple doors till you see a rigged door on your right, the piece is on an overturned trolley in here.

    CASE FILE – 17 OF 50
    After the room with the last puzzle piece you’ll see a dark room filled with manikins and tables, go through till you find a light switch, kill the guy who attacks you then turn the light off again. Stand on the jigsaw piece on the floor and find the combo (probably 938). Go out and turn right, open the combo door and the file is immediately to your right on a trolley.

    CASE FILE – 18 OF 50
    After the large floor puzzle you’ll go up some stairs, at the top you can’t miss the file on the table.

    CASE FILE – 19 OF 50
    In the next room with the cutscene and bombs the file is on the table in the middle.

    In the room where Henry was shooting at you.

    CHAPTER FIVE – JOSEPH ( 18 Collectibles )

    After watching Joseph being lowered on the platform proceed around the room to find this file on an electric box.

    CASE FILE – 22 OF 50
    After getting the combo for the lock and turning the electric off go up the stairs, the file is to the right of the Old tape recorder at the top.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 10 OF 25
    After the freight elevator take a left, avoid the trip wire and go through the door, cross the floor puzzle and go through the rigged door, through a safe door and the piece is here.

    CASE FILE – 23 OF 50
    Go back over the completed floor puzzle and out the other door, run across the now lowered bridge and straight forward into a room, the file is on a shelf on your right.

    AUDIO TAPE – 5 OF 20
    After getting the suspended valve go down a small staircase and you cant miss the tape on a table.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 11 OF 25
    After getting the last tape do a 180 and go past the stairs into the room where Henry was, the piece is on a table in a dark corner to your left.

    CASE FILE – 24 OF 50
    When reaching the upper level and activating the button you’ll pass Sarah and another woman talking n your right, past them is a door with a ‘Lacquer Studio’ sign to its right, the file is resting on the grey drums to the left of the door.

    CASE FILE – 25 OF 50
    After the next ladder it’s on a barrel when you turn around.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 12 OF 25
    When you come to the gas area and your running through, you’ll come to some stairs, stop after the first flight and enter the room, open the white door avoiding the door trap and find the piece behind an overturned table.

    AUDIO TAPE – 6 OF 20
    Continuing through the gas you’ll reach an air conditioned room with an audio tape on the table by the light.

    CASE FILE – 26 OF 50
    After dropping down from the metal walkway the file is unmissable on some crates to your right.

    CASE FILE – 27 OF 50
    After killing an enemy and retrieving a nail from his body in the next room the file is on the corner of some crates to the left.

    AUDIO TAPE – 7 OF 20
    In the room with the last Case file are two doors one with a combo lock and another with a lock pick door, pick the lock and the tape is on a little table at the back.

    AUDIO TAPE – 8 OF 20
    When you come to the room with the two garage doors and fight your third Bullish man, you’ll find this tape in the room he came out of.

    BILLY PUPPET – 4 OF 7
    After trapping the Bullish man wait a few seconds, then re-open the door you trapped him in, the he will have disappeared and the previously sealed door inside will be open. Go in and find strange red writing on the wall to your left, tilting your head (in real life) sideways will reveal these are in fact Roman numerals, the top line is a sequence from right to left of 2,3,4,5,6 – the first number for the combination to the locked door on your right is next number in the sequence, so the first number would be ‘7’. The second is 2,4,6 – so ‘8’ and the third is 5,4,3,2,1 – so ‘0’. Punch in your combo and grab the fourth Billy Puppet.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 13 OF 25
    You’ll come to a room with a wall of stacked crates on your right and two columns of crates on your left, the column on your right (with the ladders on it) is hiding the puzzle piece behind it, go around the right side avoiding the acid on the floor.

    CASE FILE – 28 OF 50
    Go up the ladder, across the beam and jump down, the next file is on some crates in the entrance of the next room.

    AUDIO TAPE – 9 OF 20
    You can’t miss this one in a red lit room after the bomb sequence.

    CHAPTER SIX – CARLA ( 17 Collectibles )

    AUDIO TAPE – 10 OF 20
    A little way into the chapter you’ll get a cutscene with a woman in an elevator, to the right of the elevator are some stairs, collect the nail from the cart underneath these stairs and use it on the door to the right. Collect the winch handle and the tape is on the same bench to the left.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 14 OF 25
    Now go back to the stairs where you got the nail and head up, past the winch in the dark left hand corner is the piece on a box behind two other boxes.

    AUDIO TAPE – 11 OF 20
    After descending a ladder you’ll come to a tripwire in the rain, disarm it and the tape is on a table on the right.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 15 OF 25
    Straight after the last collectible you’ll do a P2P puzzle and encounter a blocked doorway to the Generator room, take a left round here and grab the nail from the cart on the right, pick the lock and the piece is on the table in here.

    CASE FILE – 29 OF 50
    After turning the fire off and encountering Barry you’ll come to a store room with coils on some shelves, the file is easily missed sitting on these shelves to the right.

    AUDIO TAPE – 12 OF 20
    In the next room from the last file, go around on the left and it’s on a table.

    CASE FILE – 30 OF 50
    After doing the Kaleidoscope puzzle in the closing wall room, it’s on the floor to your right.

    AUDIO TAPE – 13 OF 20
    After saving Sarah (again) only for her to be captured (again) from the steam pipe room, the tape is in the next long room on the workbench to your left.

    AUDIO TAPE – 14 OF 20
    Now your back in the main hall go downstairs and Jigsaw has opened a new door for you going through you’ll find the next tape on a bench on your left.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 16 OF 25
    Soon you’ll encounter a shutter door that requires explosives to open, move on and take a right under the large shelving, on your left past a candle is a small opening you can squeeze through. Turn off the generator and to it’s left is a movable barricade with the piece underneath.

    CASE FILE – 31 OF 50
    After doing the puzzle to open the door go in and up the ladder and proceed through, the file is on a desk on your left.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 17 OF 25
    Go through a crawlspace then into the gas room on your left, grab the coupler from the cart and turn on the fans by completing the circuit puzzle. Go through another crawlspace on your left and the piece is in this room on a table in the corner.

    AUDIO TAPE – 15 OF 20
    Jump down and Jigsaw opens a door for you to the right of the chemical mixer, proceed through and up the steps, gain the nail from the locker and pick the gate lock, the tape is on the left hand table at the end of the room.

    CASE FILE – 32 OF 50
    In the room with the cabinets you find the chemicals in the file is in the back on a corner table.

    BILLY PUPPET – 5 OF 7
    After subduing the Bullish man proceed through the newly opened door out on your left, go past the stairs not up them and into the room on the right. Try the combo ‘630’ on the door with the puppet in. If that doesn’t work go in the room with the numbers in boxes on the wall, the combo is the three missing numbers from each box from left to right. Unlock the door and grab your Billy Puppet.

    CASE FILE – 33 OF 50
    Go up the stairs and the file is on the landing to your left.

    CASE FILE – 34 OF 50
    After being chased by Zeke (the guy with knives for hands) and running over a bridge the file is on a table to your left.

    CHAPTER SEVEN – SOLOMON ( 15 Collectibles )

    CASE FILE – 35 OF 50
    After the small cutscene with Henry and Carla turn left and the file is on the end of the table on the left.

    CASE FILE – 36 OF 50
    After going down two ladders you’ll reach a sewer, go under the wooden beams crawlspace, take the next left into the dead end, the file is on the rubble heap in front of you.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 18 OF 25
    After killing an enemy take the nail off his body and you’ll come to a ladder leading up, instead turn right and pick the lock on the gate, the piece is right in front of you on the ground.

    CASE FILE – 37 OF 50
    After climbing the ladder evade the door trap and the file is on the table to the right of the Old tape recorder. Save.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 19 OF 25
    Once you turn off the electrical current on a door and return to it continue on, you’ll get a cutscene with Jigsaw and then come to an unfamiliar door. Your going to get this puzzle piece whilst being chased by Zeke, upon opening the door you’ll unleash him. Complete the button sequence then go through that door, go right and squeeze through the pipes and complete another button sequence. Run past him and take a left, go on and he’ll chase you down, complete another button sequence and then go left through the door and shut it behind you. Go right through the open doorway then around the wall on your left, through another doorway and up the stairs. The piece is on the floor at the top of these stairs.

    CASE FILE – 38 OF 50
    After Zeke go down the stairs and the file is on the floor in front of you.

    CASE FILE – 39 OF 50
    After cutting a tripwire and going along a walkway you’ll come to some small steps and a T-junction going left and right with a red arrow on the floor pointing left, go left and the case file is on the table to your right. Don’t go through the door.

    BILLY PUPPET – 6 OF 7
    Return to the junction and go the other way through a door and you’ll see a giant chess puzzle for the combo locked door on your right (try ‘275’), if that doesn’t your going to have to solve the puzzle. You’ll notice three TV’s in the corner, a morse code chart on the wall to their right, and a newspaper clipping on the table to their left. The idea is to watch the screens and translate the blinking and pausing images using the morse code chart to find the letter. Then find the letter on the board and remembering which piece it was find the way it moves and so discover the numbered pawn it would move to. After finding the code punch it in and grab your puppet (no pun intended).

    CASE FILE – 40 OF 50
    After the next P2P puzzle go through and you’ll see a crawlspace ahead and a ladder on your right, take the ladder down, the file is on the floor a little way on at a dead end with a dead body.

    CASE FILE – 41 OF 50
    Go through the crawlspace and take the second right in the next long room, the file is on the shelves to your right.

    CASE FILE – 42 OF 50
    Go up the ladders and you’ll come to a tripwire, cut the wire and try ‘485’ on the combo locked door in front of you. If that doesn’t work look around past the stairs and then up the stairs for the numbers and type them into the lock, the file is on a shelf to your right.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 20 OF 25
    Go up the ladders and then down the steps straight ahead and you can’t miss the puzzle piece on the floor at the bottom.

    AUDIO TAPE – 16 OF 20
    After completing a screen puzzle go through the doorway and the tape is immediately on the floor to your right.

    AUDIO TAPE – 17 OF 20
    After you solve the TV puzzle matching the symbols to the faces proceed through the opened door and the tape is on a shelf to your left.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 21 OF 50
    When you reach the final puzzle of the chapter to save Solomon before you push him, turn on your light and turn left, go into the dark and the piece is at the end on the floor to your left.

    CHAPTER EIGHT – MICHAEL ( 17 Collectibles )

    PUZZLE PIECE – 22 OF 25
    Move through the chapter till you get to the bit where Henry shoots at you, you’ll throw a Molotov to make him retreat, look right and you’ll see the men’s room, go in and the piece in a little box on top of the cistern in the middle cubicle.

    CASE FILE – 43 OF 50
    Kill the guy for the key and take a right out of the men’s room, go past the stairs and into the double doors on your right, the file is at the end of the second bench on your right.

    AUDIO TAPE – 18 OF 20
    A little further on you’ll come to a metal staircase, go up one flight and you’ll see a rigged door on your right, go through and grab the nail from the lockers, go up the next flight pick the lock and the tape is on the right side of the table next to the Old tape recorder.

    CASE FILE – 44 OF 50
    Go up the ladders and this file is on the second chair on your left.

    CASE FILE – 45 OF 50
    After escaping the guy chained up you’ll see an answering machine on a table, the file is on the floor nearby.

    CASE FILE – 46 OF 50
    When Henry starts shooting at you again dodge left, you’ll pass the women’s room then come to a corridor, the file is inside the cardboard box at the start of the corridor.

    CASE FILE – 47 OF 50
    After going out into the rain go to the next door back inside and the file is on the table on your left in the dark.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 23 OF 25
    After you kill another Bullish man don’t go through the door requiring a key yet, instead go up the elevator the Bullish man came down, go round the walkway down the stairs and in the room on your right is the piece on a table.

    CASE FILE – 48 OF 50
    After returning to where you killed the Bullish man use the key and go through, go into the room on your right and the file is on the table, along with a health and a nail.

    AUDIO TAPE – 19 OF 20
    After seeing the Pig face and Henry evade the trap on the next door and the tape is on the table to your left.

    CASE FILE – 49 OF 50
    This is to your right on a box just over from the last tape.

    BILLY PUPPET – 7 OF 7
    Turn around from the last file and go through the door behind the audio tape, you’ll see a set of clocks on the wall rigged to the door to their left, if the number on the wall to their right is ‘50’ simply make a 50 shape using the hands of the clocks, or whatever number is there. Once the shape is correct the door will open, go in and collect the last puppet and the ‘Puppeteer’ Achievement.

    CASE FILE – 50 OF 50
    Continue through the next door, outside and then back in another door, take the rigged door on your right and the last file is on the shelving in front of you, collect it and the ‘Journalist’ Achievement.

    AUDIO TAPE – 20 OF 20
    In the same room as the last file turn left grab the ammonia and paint thinner and on the little table is the last tape and the ‘Reel to reel’ Achievement.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 24 OF 25
    After blowing the wall up go through and then straight forward till you reach the piece in a little box on a table in the storeroom.

    PUZZLE PIECE – 25 OF 25
    When getting shot at you’ll get to the main train station lobby area, make your way to the large stone staircase where Henry is shooting at you, instead of going up you’ll notice an open doorway into the men’s room, dodge over there and find the last piece on the toilet in the middle cubicle and unlock the last collectible achievement ‘Putting it all together’.
