2. General hints and tips
Type of mission objectives
Shoot down enemy aircraft: Pretty obvious I guess, just shoot the buggers down.
Destroy ground targets: Bombs away. Be sure to take a plane with a lot of bombs.
Land: Fly through the yellow rings in the right direction.
Reach a specific destination: The destination will be pointed out by an objective marker. Just fly towards the marker.
Locate something using radio navigation: At the bottom of your radar you'll notice a direction meter. Turn in the right direction and the meter starts to fill (until the edges). Keep flying in this direction to reach your destination.
Stay undetected by the enemy: At the top of your radar you'll notice a stealth meter. If the stealth meter starts to fill, you're being detected by your enemies. Keep an eye on the radar to avoid enemy planes. There will be a yellow circle around the enemies on your radar. Just stay out of that circle to remain undetected.
Drop off supplies by landing or via parachute: Just fly through the yellow marking to drop off the goods.
A lot of these missions have to be done within a certain time limit. If you cross this time limit, the objective will fail.
Weapons
Primary weapons: Your machine guns (RT).
Secondary weapons: Rockets and bombs (LT). To switch between rockets and bombs press LB.
Planes:
You'll be awarded with stars after completing objectives and completing missions. If you gather enough stars you'll unlock new planes. I'll give a short description for each plane in the game.

Zenith A6Z - Cargo Plane

Only use this plane if you don't mind the low agility. It's like flying with a tank but it has some good firepower and high endurance.

Great amount of firepower but the low endurance makes it a weak plane (especially if you play on a higher difficulty then rookie)

Probably the best fighter bomber in this game. I liked this plane quite a lot.

Only recommended in missions with a lot of ground troops. Don't even think about using this one for air-to-air combat.
