Alan Wake's American Nightmare Walkthrough

1. Walkthrough overview

Hi and welcome to the Alan Wake's American Nightmare walkthrough. Achieving the 200G in this arcade title will not be hard, but there are a couple of achievements which may take several attempts to be obtained. There are two modes to play: Story Mode and Arcade.

In Story Mode you will unlock four story-related achievements. In addition to this, there's a collectible achievement for finding all the 53 Manuscript Pages. This last one is missable.

Arcade Mode is a sort of survival mode which can last up to 10 minutes, and there are five locations available; moreover, for each of them there is a "Normal" version and a "Nightmare" (harder) version, for a total of 10 stages. Five of the achievements are specific to this mode. One requires you to unlock all ten stages (which is done by accumulating "stars". Stars are earned based on performance on the stages). Then there's one for surviving the whole 10 minutes of the trial, on any stage. Another one requires you survive the whole time without killing any enemy. Another achievement requires you to get 70,000+ points on any of the Nightmare levels; and finally, one requires you to hit 100,000 Points on your score while you're in a No-Damage-Streak of 6+ minutes (in other words, you mustn't get hit for 6+ minutes, and you must hit 100,000 Points in that span of time). These last two are the harder achievements I was talking about, but they are nothing that you can't accomplish with some practice.

Finally, there are two miscellaneous achievements, which are likely to be accomplished while doing the rest.
