12. Assassin's Creed III Tyranny of King Washington: Infamy - DLCUpdate notes

Welcome to the third DLC release guide of Assassin's Creed III. This contains 4 achievements worth 90 GS and is fairly easy to complete. Also note that this DLC pack is the first of three (two more to come) and you will encounter some strange things in the beginning of this DLC. A short conclusion of this DLC pack can be found below, which are the exact words from Ubisoft in a press release:

As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.

So with that knowledge behind our teeth, let's start our journey! We'll start off with the story, which contains 6 short sequences and where 5 of them require full synchronisation by completing some additional constraints. I recorded all of these sequences myself, but my software was starting to mess things up and to get it online quickly for you, I decided to add video's from one of our very own users: HattonGaming; known as NiroGamingHD on YouTube.

Upon killing Benedict Arnold, the story ends and the following achievement unlocks:

2. Miscellaneous Achievements

All achievement descriptions are listed beneath the mentioned achievement.

This achievement is available after sequence 3, which will grant you a new ability; the Wolf Cloak. To activate it, equip the Hidden Blades and press Y. Walk up to your prey (which will be guards) and stab them to kill them. If you do this 25 times, this easy achievement will pop. If you have problems with this achievement, sequence 6 (Justice Served) will be great to do this in. Remember you don't have to get 25 kills with one cloak, you can use as many you like. For those who need a video guide, please take a look below. All credits go to NiroGamingHD.

Upon completing all sequences with 100% synchronisation, you will have done most of the things needed for this achievement. The only things left are the treasure chests, convoys, Help The Hungry, Wolf Rescue and Memory Artifact.

As for the Treasure chests, it's pretty easy; they are already marked on your map when playing through sequence 3. Most Treasure chests are heavily armed, but will resupply you with lots of ammunition. Also, these guards can give you a nice boost towards the previous mentioned achievement; "A Wolf In Sheeps Clothing". Note that these don't count for full synchronisation.

You will encounter the Memory Artifacts while getting those treasure chests looted, so this is not very hard to get. Also, there are only 3 Memory Artifacts to collect, so that will speed up things too. These Artifacts will show you things that happened in the Main Story, so if you haven't completed that already, beware for some spoilers. In case you have problems finding these, the video below will help you out very neat. All credits for this video go to AFGuidesHD.

Convoys are something else though, they will always spawn in the same location and are easy to take out. The hardest part might be finding one. For me, most of them spawned in the northern section of The Frontier, just below Kanièn:keh and right above Diamond Basin (if you don't know where these regions are, I refer you to Page 7 - Collectibles where all regions are listed. You will need to successfully attack 5 different convoys to complete this side mission.

For the Help The Hungry and Wolf Rescue side missions, I recommend using the video's below. All credit goes out to NiroGamingHD. You will have to feed 5 hungry civilians and save 5 civilians from hungry wolves. Please note that you will have to skin or loot some treasure chests to feed the civilians.

We had quite a ride so far and it's still not over yet, Part 2 of The Tyranny of King Washington is coming soon and I hope to see all of you again when that part is written. I'll do my best to write and publish it as fast as possible.

Happy gaming wave!
