3. Story walkthrough

Here we go with the story mode of the game.

Start playing the game and follow the guide below. Achievements should pop in the order I lay them out. The exception are achievements found on the Miscellaneous Achievements page which can unlock at any time.

2 easy achievements

For the first one you need to get in a car in New Hive City, which can be done by going close to a car and pressing the Y when prompted.

Now on to the Chapters

This walkthrough only covers the missions which are achievement related.

Chapter 1

Mission 1.1

In this mission you need to reach the flower patch without getting a scratch (Flawless). In order to get this you can't be hit or press a wrong button. Keep retrying until you have it. Here is the sequence of the buttons/directions. Each line is a new sequence after a cutscene or scene were you can't do anything. The button mash or button you need to use alternates between tries so I didn't write down a specific button.

When you've cleared the whole sequence and escaped the frog without being hit or hitting the wrong button you will be awarded with an achievement:

Reach the Flower Patch without a scratch in Chapter 1

Mission 1.2

During the mission you will be taught how to use your Bee Vision abity by pressing Y. Press Y when the game asked you to for an achievement.

Bee Visionary5 (5)

Activate Barry’s Bee Vision

In the same mission, you need to pollinate all the flowers in 101 Sector. Simply fly to the yellow dots on the map and harvest some honey (LT to lock on and RT to harvest). Fill your honey meter and then fly to the blue dots on the map to pollinate the flower. (LT to lockon and RT to pollinate). Be sure that all the blue dots are gone and youwill get an achievement.

Flower of Discovery11 (10)

Pollinate the entire Pollination 101 sector in Chapter 1.

Art concept:

• Simply follow the instructions of the instructor.

Statue:

• At the end of a small River above the water where all the flowers can be pollinated.

Mission 1.3

In this mission, you will need to escape the tennis game without getting hit or hitting a wrong button (Flawless). This one is a bit different then the last one, since you need to hold a direction on order to rotate far enough to not get hit. Here is the sequence:

• Up, Up, Left, Up, Left, Up, Right
• Left, Button, Left, Up, Up, Left, Button, Down, Button

After you have survived this part flawlessly you will be awarded with another achievement:

Flawless Game12 (10)

Survive the tennis rally between Ken and Vanessa without being hit in Chapter 1

Chapter 2

Mission 2.1

At the start of this mission, you will be prompted to activate Berry's Bee Reflexes by pressing the B button. Doing this will earn you another achievement:

This mission requirements are easy. You need to pollinate all the flowers in the rainy streets for the second achievement in this mission.

Flower of Courage14 (10)

Pollinate all the flowers in the rainy streets of New York in Chapter 2

• Unlocked by 2,351 tracked gamers (53% - TA Ratio = 1.37) 4,406

Art Concept:

• This one is under the second umbrella in the dining section after a short.

Statue:

• After a short cutscene, follow the road towards Vanessa's window. On the right hand side there will be a bus stop. You will find the statue on the left of the bus stop nearby the yellow newspaper dispenser.

Mission 2.2

In this mission you need to finish the level by neutralizing Ken using the 3 party guests without being hit or pressing a wrong button (Flawless). Annoy the guests and enter the right button combination to trigger a short cutscene and to neutralize Ken for another achievement.

Operation Guaca Mole14 (10)

Neutralize Ken using the 3 party guests without a scratch in Chapter 2

• Unlocked by 2,356 tracked gamers (53% - TA Ratio = 1.37) 4,406

While neutralizing Ken you will have plenty of time between annoying guest to pollinate all the flowers for the next achievement. But don't forget the collectibles.

Flower of Will13 (10)

Pollinate all the flowers in Vanessa’s apartment in Chapter 2

• Unlocked by 2,707 tracked gamers (61% - TA Ratio = 1.28) 4,406

After that the only thing you need to finish the level is neutralizing Ken using the 3 party guests without getting hit.

Art concept:

• This one will be in the top corner of the dining room near the curtains and a clock.

Statue:

• In the hallway with the kitchen to your right you will see some shelves in the top left corner. The statue will be on the upper-most shelf.

Chapter 3

Mission 3.1

At the start of the mission you need to pollinate all the flowers in the park in order to unlock an achievement.

Flower of Heart14 (10)

Pollinate all the flowers in the park in Chapter 3

After that there is just one more thing left to do, defend the hive without it suffering too much damage from the attackers. When the fight starts, fly around and shoot at all the enemies you can find as quick as possible and be sure to take out the enemies that are closest to the hive first.

When the fight is over you will be granted another achievement if you saved the hive from being damaged to much.

New Hive Protector14 (10)

Don’t let the Hive suffer too much damage in Chapter 3

• Unlocked by 2,154 tracked gamers (49% - TA Ratio = 1.43) 4,406

Art Concept:

• Before the rain starts to fall, follow Vanessa's line of sight. You will find the Art Concept between the lantern and some red flowers on Vanessa's side of the road.
• After pollinating all the flowers at the part where you need to defend the hive, fly towards the road leading away from the hive. The art concept will be above the ground in the middle of the road.

Statue:

• After the spawn fly to the picnic basket and around it.
• After pollinating the flowers grab the statue inside the garbage bin behind the tree.

Chapter 4

Mission 4,1

In this mission you need to defeat Hector without being hit or pressing a wrong button (Flawless), which is fairly straight forward. After the fight is over you will receive another Flawless related achievement.

Flawless Buzz Battle 115 (10)

Defeat Hector the Delivery Guy without taking any damage in Chapter 4

• Unlocked by 1,854 tracked gamers (42% - TA Ratio = 1.54) 4,406

Mission 4.2

At the start of the mission there will be a truck chase which you need to complete without being hit or pressing a wrong button (Flawless) and it’s a tough one. Simply give it a couple of tries to memorize the moves and use the list below as a reminder.

After you have made it into the horn of the truck flawlessly you will be awarded with another achievement.

Flawless Truck Chase17 (10)

Follow the Honey Farm truck to its destination without any damage in Chapter 4

• Unlocked by 1,558 tracked gamers (35% - TA Ratio = 1.68) 4,406

At the next part of the mission you need to defend 3 hives but that is not all. You also need to make sure that no bees are taken away by the wasps. Keep looking at the minimap for a red arrow and fly there as fast as possible to take out the wasp carrying the bee. After the fight is over and you have saved all the bees from the wasps, you will get an achievement.

Honey Farm Protector14 (10)

Don’t let any bee get taken away during the wasp attack in Chapter 4

Chapter 5

Mission 5.1

In this mission you will come to a part where you need to fight and defeat Freddy the Beekeeper without being hit or pressing a wrong button (Flawless). Since this one can be hard I have inserted a video from SectOfStrategy to help you out.

After you defeated Freddy Flawless you will get an achievement.

Flawless Buzz Battle 217 (10)

Defeat Freddy the Beekeeper without taking any damage in Chapter 5

• Unlocked by 1,473 tracked gamers (33% - TA Ratio = 1.73) 4,406

Art Concept:

• Just above the Beekeeper with the red smoke will be an Art Concept.

Statue:

• At the base of the big tree you will find the statue. From where you spawn, it will be behind the tree.

Chapter 6

Mission 6.1

The mission will start with a limousine pursuit which you need to finish without being hit or pressing a wrong button (Flawless). Prepare yourself because this is going to be a long one! Here is the sequence to get you started.

When you finally get to the restaurant the chase is over and you will be rewarded big time with two achievements. One for the Flawless Chase.

Flawless Limousine Pursuit18 (10)

Follow Montgomery’s Limousine to its destination without any damage in Chapter 6

• Unlocked by 1,431 tracked gamers (32% - TA Ratio = 1.75) 4,406

And one for acquiring all the staged action badges, which are:

Lightning Reflex Bee94 (50)

Acquire all staged action badges

Don't cheer yet there is another task to be completed in the restaurant. You need to pollinate all the flowers inside the restaurant for an easy achievement.

Flower of Abundance14 (10)

Pollinate all the flowers in the restaurant of Chapter 6

Art Concept:

• After the doors are opened to go outside, head up and to the left.

Statue:

• After you annoyed the waiter at the desk, go through the doors and look for a hallway to your right. Youwill see a table on the left side of the couch with a statue under the table.

Mission 6.2

Another mission with a Flawless part in it! This time you need to reach Montgomery's table without being hit, pressing a wrong button or being hearded (Flawless). This one is actually pretty straight forward and not hard. Simply annoy the waiter and perform the button combination and take a picture of the chart. In the next section take the picture at the marker and annoy the old man to finish this part with a button combination. Next part is to go outside and use the first wind tunnel and the second wind tunnel. Take the picture and use the thirth wind tunnel to land on the table. You will be set for the achievement.

Operation Buzz Boy18 (10)

Reach Montgomery’s table without taking any damage in Chapter 6

Chapter 7

Mission 7.1

In this mission you only have to pollinate all the flowers in the rainy streets of New York to get your achievement.

Flower of Bravery15 (10)

Pollinate all the flowers in the rainy streets of New York in Chapter 7

• Unlocked by 1,895 tracked gamers (43% - TA Ratio = 1.52) 4,406

Art Concept:

• In front of the Montgomery building you will see some trees with the art concept under the middle tree.

Statue:

• At the actual tunnel turn around and go into the man hole to find the statue.
• After a short cutscene, turn left and go straight until you find a crosswalk button. Hit the button and use a persons umbrella to protect you from the rain while crossing the street. The statue will be above the left bench on the other side at the bus stop.

Mission 7.2

In this mission you need to collect 3 parts of the code and unlock the safe without being hit or pressing a wrong button (Flawless). This one is the easiest of all the “operations”.

After you spawn, go into the room on the right and dash the paper shredder. When it is activated rush to the desk, hit the keyboard and take a picture. In the next room you will need to annoy the guy behind the desk until the button combination. Do this three times until he runs out of the room. Hit the keyboard and take the picture. Exit the room, take a left and enter Montgomery's room down the hall. Below his desk will be a computer, hit the button to turn it on. Perform the usual things with the keyboard to get the last piece of the code. Fly towards Montgomery's portrait and hit the red button. If you have done this flawlessly the achievement is yours.

Operation Gamma Code16 (10)

Collect 3 parts of the code and unlock Montgomery’s safe without a scratch in Chapter 7

• Unlocked by 1,675 tracked gamers (38% - TA Ratio = 1.62) 4,406

You also need to pollinate all the flowers in the office to get the last pollination badge for two achievements. One for pollinating the flowers in the office.

Flower of Justice14 (10)

Pollinate all the flowers in Montgomery’s office in Chapter 7

And one achievement for acquiring all the pollination badges, which are:

Master Pollinator77 (50)

Acquire all pollination badges

Art Concept:

• At the reception, it will be above the flowers when you turn right at the spawn.
• In Montgomery's office on the right hand side of a big clock on your right.

Statue:

• In Montgomery's office on top of the big clock on your right.

Chapter 8

Mission 8.1

This mission only has some collectibles to collect, no other achievement requirements.

Art Concept:

• After you spawn, take a left at the honey, take a right when possible then go straight ahead. You will see a cement stove and the Art Concept will be to the left on the bottom shelf above a wooden pallet.

Statue:

• After you spawn take a left at the honey, and all the way to the end to take a right through the boxes. On the other side of the boxes go all the way up to find the statue in an opening.
• After you spawn take a left at the honey, take a right when possible then right again into a corner. Turn right after the corner and look for an opening in the boxes. Fly in and you will find a U shaped tunnel with the statue in it.

Chapter 9

Mission 9.1

In this mission you need to defeat Ken without being hit or pressing a wrong button (Flawless).

Since this could be a hard one I want to show you how to do it with a youtube video from SectOfStrategy.

After the battle is over you will be awarded with an achievement.

Flawless Buzz Battle 320 (10)

Defeat Ken without taking any damage in Chapter 9

• Unlocked by 1,121 tracked gamers (25% - TA Ratio = 1.98) 4,406

Chapter 10

This chapter has one mission and on this mission you need to collect all 3 ids and reach the secured room (end of the chapter) without being hit or pressing a wrong button.

The hardest part about this is avoiding the laserbeams, which can be done by flying parallel and close to the walls.

Here are some pointers:

• On spawn turn left and hit the red button to open the drawer. Fly through it and annoy the scientist. Annoy him enough, do the 4 button combination. After he is down zoom in on his face and extract his breath. Go back into the hallway and go to the id receiver and use the lowest one (with the mouth on it) and unload the taken breath.
• Hit the red button next to the middle door and go through the drawer that opens. Annoy him and perform the 4 button combination. After he is down fly to his hand and lock onto the fingerprint. Grab it and go back to the id receiver and unload the fingerprint into the scanner.
• Hit the red button nearby the last door and through the drawer again. Annoy the last scientist and do the 4 button combination. After he is down fly to his desk and get the retinal image from the picture. Back to the id receiver and use the top scanner this time.
• After the last id is verified lock onto the checkmark to the left of the panel to enter the control room.

Getting into the control room without being hit or pressing a wrong button will give you an achievement:

Operation Sting Ray19 (10)

Collect 3 ID’s and reach the secured room without taking any damage in Chapter 10

• Unlocked by 1,220 tracked gamers (28% - TA Ratio = 1.90) 4,406

Art Concept:

• After the spawn go to the other end of the hallway.

Statue:

• In the First lab on the left on the ground to the right of the desk.

Chapter 11

Just one mission in this chapter but it will be a tough one.

In this mission, you need to defeat Montgomery without being hit or pressing a wrong button (Flawless). Since this one can be hard too I have inserted another video from SectOfStrategy to help you out.

After you have won the fight you will get three achievements this time.

First one for the Flawless battle:

• After the spawn head to the right side of the judge's table and around it to find the last statue under the witness's desk.

After this last statue youwill be granted with the collectible achievement in the game.

Time Tasks for Chapters

After you are done with watching the ending credits, it is time for the next playthrough of some chapters, but this time we are going to do it time based! Simply choose the chapter/mission you want to replay from the machine nearby the Hive City exit. Remember that there is no clock running on the screen so you can't check the time left! Also remember to use the X button to speed up your flying.

Chapter 2

Mission 2.1

You need to reach Vanessa's apartment in less then 4:00 minutes. At the start of the level activate your Bee Reflex ( B ) and fly into the First wind tunnel. At the end go to a safe spot to regenerate and use the Bee Vision ( Y ) if you can't find a safe spot. Simply keep using the wind tunnels untill you are inside the apartment. This one will give you no trouble at all but will reward you with a nice achievement.

Baptism of Water15 (10)

Reach Vanessa’s apartment under 4: 00 in Chapter 2

• Unlocked by 1,891 tracked gamers (43% - TA Ratio = 1.53) 4,406

Chapter 3

Mission 3.1

You need to reach Vanessa in less then 2:00 minutes. The timer will start as soon as the rain starts to fall after defending the hive. The easiest way is to use the Bee Reflex and head into the wind tunnel on the right. Regenerate the Bee Reflex underneath the tunnel, activate it again and go straight towards the marker to grab another achievement.

Washed Away Picnic14 (10)

Reach Vanessa under 2: 00 in Chapter 3

• Unlocked by 2,251 tracked gamers (51% - TA Ratio = 1.40) 4,406

Chapter 7

Mission 7.1

You need to reach Montgomery's Office in less then 3:30 minutes. After the spawn activate your Bee Reflex and head into the wind tunnel in the middle of the road. Once you exit, head right and head down into the windtunnel in the middle of the road again. Don't stop on exit but head to the other side of the tree into another windtunnel. After this one, you will be in an actual tunnel with another windtunnel in front of you to fly into. Once you exit you will hit a checkpoint and you can reach this point without regenerating your bee senses.

The next part is a bit harder.

After you spawn, go up and towards the tree. Activate your Bee Reflex only after you have been hit and go over the road. On the other side hide underneath the tree and regenerate your senses. Go towards the garbage bin but don't activate your Bee Reflex untill you get hit and regenerate underneath the garbage bin lid. After that rush to the end and activate your bee sense on impact only.

After that watch the ending cutscene you get the achievement.

No Pain No Gain… in Rain18 (10)

Reach Montgomery’s Office under 3:30 in Chapter 7

Chapter 8

Mission 8.1

Final time based mission and it is an easy one this time. You need to reach the fire exit in less then 0:30 minutes (30 seconds that is right). You have to play throught the mission untill the sprinklers are turned on. When they are on fly throught the hole in front of you and on exit towards the end of the level (marker). If you find cover along the way regenerate your bee senses but do this only once and you will have no problems at all to grab another achievement.

Sprinkler Shower17 (10)

Reach the fire exit under 0:30 in Chapter 8

• Unlocked by 1,585 tracked gamers (36% - TA Ratio = 1.67) 4,406

After finishing the last mission in time you will be granted another achievement for acquiring all the rain drop badges, which are:

• Baptism of Water
• Washed Away Picnic
• No Pain No Gain…. In Rain
• Sprinkler Shower

Speedy Bee89 (50)

Acquire all rain drop dodging badges

• Unlocked by 1,395 tracked gamers (32% - TA Ratio = 1.78) 4,406

After the final timebased playthrough you have cleared out all the mission specific achievements. Be proud of yourself at this point because the hardest part of the game is over. We still have some miscellaneous achievements to do and …
