4. Single Missions
Apart from the main campaigns we are going to complete a few missions from the 'Single Missions' section of the game. There are many different ones but we only need to complete four from certain campaigns for all the achievements. All of these missions can be done offline and on simplified difficulty.
Firstly from the main menu select 'Missions' then 'Single Missions', and we're going to start off with the 'Pacific Ocean Theatre' and the 'New Guinea Campaign'.
Successfully completing any mission in this campaign will unlock the required achievement but the easiest to complete is probably 'Flying Boat'.
Here we will have to dock a large seaplane precisely in the waypoint, overshooting is easy to do and will result in failure. We immediately reduce our engine speed to approximately 60% and line ourselves up with the waypoint so we're facing inland. Gradually lower our altitude and pull back on the throttle as you approach the water and descend. This aircraft takes an exceptionally long time to decelerate and stop so we need to reduce our speed to 0% as soon as we touch the water and do not try to speed things up, just allow the aircraft to slowly drift into the waypoint.
Successful completion of any mission in the 'New Guinea Campaign' will unlock:
Unlocked by 661 tracked gamers (29% - TA Ratio = 1.85)
Now we select 'Eastern Front' from the Single Missions section. We can complete any mission from this but the easiest may be 'On The Edge'.
We simply have to land an I-153P on a breakwater. Fly over the city at max speed, then manoeuvre in-line with the breakwater and reduce speed, slowly descend and land cautiously.
Successful completion of any mission in 'Eastern Front' will unlock:
Unlocked by 734 tracked gamers (32% - TA Ratio = 1.76)
Now select 'Western Front' from Single Missions. We can complete any mission from this but the easiest may be 'Inaccessible City'.
We're required to destroy five bridges before the enemy tanks are able to cross them. We have a number of bombers at our disposal so this won't be very difficult. Concentrate on one bridge at a time and only bomb the tanks if you are passing over them anyway. Every time we exhaust our payload we will quickly switch to another bomber and continue to pound the bridges.
Successful completion of any mission in the 'Western Front' will unlock:
Unlocked by 782 tracked gamers (34% - TA Ratio = 1.70)
Now select the 'Mediterranean Theatre' from the Single Missions section. We can complete any mission from here but the easiest may be 'Operation Bowery'.
From the start we take off from the carrier and head directly to the nearby airfield at full speed. We have to land here within five minutes so lower your landing gear and land. Take off again and proceed to destroy the bombers.
Successful completion of any mission in this theatre will unlock:
Unlocked by 836 tracked gamers (36% - TA Ratio = 1.65)
Now before we proceed to the multiplayer aspect of the game we have to complete one 'Dynamic Campaign'.
Dynamic Campaigns are custom sets of missions where we can choose the maps, modes and other settings to have to create an entirely new campaign.
Simply find and select Dynamic campaign and set up the shortest and easiest set of missions to complete for this achievement.
Here's a good example:
Choose the 'Siege Of Malta' on simplified, choose the allied team, friendly frontline advantage and capture all points to win. Then select some simple modes like 'Air Combat Patrol' and 'Head to Head' and we shouldn't have much trouble completing a Dynamic Campaign unlocking:
Unlocked by 662 tracked gamers (29% - TA Ratio = 1.85)
Now we can move onto the multiplayer aspect of the game.
