Sadly the only game I have kept up on has been Zoo Tycoon. I would really like notifications.
Seems like challenges are a sneaky way for developers to ruin your perfect completion %. I will never forgive Kojima for this betrayal :)

Cheers man! Many thanks.
Very handy Bullets, ty.
Le gasp. BAN HIM NOW.
Any 'app' with achievements is an automatic 3 at best.
Big congrats Opi!
Thanks mate... a real test of patience that one.
@THE DEADLY DOG "Opi" means in German "Grandpa" ;)@Opus Great work mate! :D
What a great advertisement for the game. Endless competition levels rated at 5.5 or less. Of course they're better than levels rated 7.5 or 8 or 9. Way to go guys.
So many sheep so utterly unable to see why having feeds dominated by competition entries might be a bad thing or bad idea.
A tool or resource aiming to to give creators almost complete freedom, yet you are sidelined if you aren't in the competition they stage.

PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION. BUT, YOU CAN'T WIN ANYTHING, NOR WILL YOU BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANYTHING.
...wait. So, if I'm featured and legitimately win, but live outside the US, what will they do? Throw you out and choose the next person?
You can't enter I guess. I understand why this is US only - it is a "test" competition with the aim of leading to worldwide ones in future.
Or, will they manually only feature people inside the US, thus defeating themselves in the process, since they want to encourage people to contribute.
My issue is that if everything in the Spark feeds centres on the competition, so much great non-competition stuff is lost. Huge concern
No, the thread said that people should still participate even if they're ineligible... Team Dakota, JUST TAKE A STANCE DAMN IT!
I feel like a school kid on that forum, where everyone is dragged down to the lowest level to even out the playing field. It literally hurts to read those threads.
I'd have more concern if they actually rotated content on the featured feeds. As-is, you have 3 days, and then it's off to either remix, rip-off, or create something new.
People who aren't eligible can take part, but there's nothing much in it for them. Personally I'd rather create my own world without limitations ...
... put in place by a competition I can't take part in. And quite a few people feel the same.
I guess they're encouraging as many people as possible to take part to ensure good numbers and future competitions/sponsorship.
That's exactly it - they're trying to ensure the sponsor gets what they want so they can continue to fund Project Spark. No participation, no $, no game.
Team Dakota just seems like they aren't a mature enough development team, to be honest.
Some on those forums have no ability to empathize with those of differing opinions.
Some don't understand that while the competitions are good, not all people will want to participate. Lack of perspective.
Nice of you to delete that post, but I don't think you needed to. I thought he was talking to everyone for most of his post. I pointed out one factual error and he goes..
off about the contest and international players. When he said, "This is an EVENT people," he certainly seemed to be addressing more than me.
Rust Plague saw what I wrote, so that's the main thing I guess. His attitude I disagree with but his passion I share.
Interesting though that TD quickly reinstated 30/90 day feeds, as well as devoting 6 specific feeds to competitions. That's all many of us wanted.
Team Dakota feed gone, Best of the last 7 day feed gone. Best of last 30 and 90 day feeds gone. All replaced by levels for some US only competition.
Everytime they have the chance to do something, Spark and Team Dakota completely stuff it up. No hope for any level to be seen beyond the New and Rising Feed. Sell outs.

A competition is a good idea, but not at the expense of every other creation being sidelined. Dear God they truly are idiots
Just when I think PS can't get any worse, it does. And they wonder why some use exploits to unlock achievements. Sorry this is affecting you.
It's hard to justify getting started on creating when they end up shafting you at every turn.
Also hard to justify starting when your creation might be ruined by an update. Or removed from the feeds because it helps others unlock an achievement.
I'll probably mess around with it for a while longer, but once I hit 2k TA, I'm all but done with it. What a mistake.
I hear you. Great idea with lots of potential, but wish I had never booted up the beta. The X1 system "helpfully" unlocked an achievement ex post facto, so I was stuck.
I started it as I was on an odd campaign to top my state's Win8 leaderboard. Good news: I made it and it's hard to beat me now. Bad news: I started it and didn't need to.
They should just give us all of the achievements if we buy their DLC they would make a big profit lol
I understand that they might need competitions (and corporate sponsorship) like this to ensure they keep going -and that's fine ...
... but it should never be at the expense of those users who can't/won't take part, but in addition too. Just poor planning.
The good news is a lot of Spark users are up in arms and angry. Let's see the reaction.
Nice one mate.
Not bad for a vegetarian, not bad at all!
That's nice :)
