So far all the reasons people are complaining about don't seem to be 'real' problems to me.. Kinect always needs to be plugged in? Who cares, it comes with every console!
Connect to the internet every 24 hours? Someone that can afford a brand new generation of console should easily have the interent.. We live in the Digital Age!
And the pre-owned games thing that hasn't even been settled with retailers? I don't care if I can't buy a pre-owned game, I'd rather have a brand new copy anyway :) Done.
360 on 360, 1 on xbox 1?
Nice one man :D
Wow, good job man.
what did you go for mate
i5 3.4k with cooling.

sweet I have 2 gtx 670s bridged and they are awesome
Yeah, down the line i'll do the same. I decided on a lot of my parts with that in mind.
You go for the 486, or the 386?
Soo its about time man! I need a computer boosting buddy!!
I'm still running Vista in an ironic fashion.
I've been watching and getting as much info on it as can since I've knocked off work and yes it definitely has its bad points but it also has a lot of good points aswell
I can understand why people would be pissed about the whole used games scenario. personally this doesn't worry me as I don't purchase used games anyway but for the

people that do this would be frustrating. Also the backwards compatibility is disappointing but it is understandable because of the processing tech as they mentioned
And lets not forget the changing achievements lists, for the completionests out there this could be very annoying trying to keep up.
But there is a lot of good points for me to many to list main ones being all the new IP's and the specs of the machine make for a powerful gaming platform.
I think it is way to early for people to dump the xbox already after the first conference we have to remember that it was aimed at the majority not just the hardcore
gamers. I say lets wait for E3 before we make our minds up
The used game thing doesn't bother me yet, it really depends on how much they charge to be able to install the game on a new console that will make the difference.
E3 will reveal new games only whats the point of it?
I agree, I am not sold on it yet, but at the very least I am not passing on a day one purchase based solely on a single hour worth of a press conference.
And we have, what, a look/design, system specs, and maybe 8-9 games? Not enough info to make a secure judgement.
Do you want us to sit and just let Ms give through its shit on us? all they want is to cover every part of entertainment! I would say they should leave the xbox as
gaming console and leave other companies work on their on field
XboX=Gaming when I tell my friends or my mum am sitting on the xbox they always knew that am gaming so yeah
Plus the one use code thing has been around for years now for PC gamers and I don't here the them complaining
Can someone link me to any info regarding achievements next gen?
Also you will probably find that Sony will go down the same path with this only they haven't mentioned it yet as it would be a huge mistake for Microsoft business wise
if Sony does not
Because most of the features i'll not be able to use because australia doesn't have the best internet speeds
It is nice to actually hear someone with a positive take on the new system. I am getting really tired of the "new Xbox is garbage" without seeing at least a minor bit of
positive out of the whole thing. It is going to play games AT THE VERY LEAST and at the end of the day that is all we, at least I, really want out of it.
Hope they ditch them XxD
I'm with you matt, don't see anything to hate on the new Xbox at this stage, just some minor inconveniences.
Hopefully better power in the system will simply mean better games.
If the show gameplay for BF4 at e3 for the xbox one and i mean the xbox one not PC, and then compare it to xbox 360 i may buy it or wait too 2016
Yep I totally agree, I think the positives massively outweigh the negatives, especially those graphics!
EHhh... graphics can't compare to PC never have never will nothing to go with there whether it is something that can withstand a few years is the question.
Yeah I agree, I think people are getting worked up over a few annoyances. I not sold yet, I'm with holding judgement until E3 but nothing I've seen has me ready to give
up consoles like some people are saying. PC's have had a single use code for years, no trade ins or rentals, it's called a serial number. Let's see what E3 brings.
Plenty of games can be played and shared and steam has offline mode for sharing. Also plenty of their games are cheap as chips plus plenty of freebies.
Personally, I feel like a tool talking out loud to my console to make it do things. I'm sure there are lots of good things to be announced in the near future.
haha true that poopy
I dont know what the problem is, of course MS is going to try and broaden it's demographic from just gamers to making it a household entertainment device.
They have practically zero competition.
yeah people are paying out on the used games thing....... so are turning to steam??????????
The crystal clear was sweet
yeah my bro had one of those
You can - just make sure you don't have throwable/flammable objects on hand and there are no small children/animals around to hurt
You need to see it bro but it was expected to be more media focused then games unfortunately E3 for that still some game awesome footage

More like in game cut scenes for like4mins, Read this - welcome to the world of retail games with one life...... http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2013/05/xbox-one-analysis/
That's why EA dropped their online pass policy like 3 days ago
As a friend, I tell you to not to watch it, it will destroy any hope you have of having an awesome Xbox console.
Wait for E3 possibly...this was more of just an entertainment reveal imo.
There is an awesome Xbox console - its called the 360......... the problem its offspring has been breed with an old cable TV receiver
Seriously read the article link i posted - its offical, they have boned this well and proper....... hell Devo is pricing up gaming PCs right now
I saw, I can't stop laughing at that, he was one who was hell into getting the next xbox.
Yep. I'm out. It'll be super sad to leave all you guys behind, but i'll make sure everyone knows my Steam tag before I say my final goodbyes.
I'll be hoping to see you on Steam at some point in the future.
Yeah I may pass it looks like us Aussies get screwed heavily and no chance that gaming will survive here. Aint watching reveal til later
I'll try to get on Steam.
But that's the thing, the Xbox was targeted at Americans and English mostly.
Yeah, mostly Americans. Sigh. Oh well, i'm getting quite excited about PC gaming right now. ARMA III, Total War, Day Z plus many, many more.
FYI everyone - Devo's steam tag is "Devo AUS X1"
fuck a lot of unhappy people. Im on steam anyways Devo and fuck yes to Arma 3
Whats wrong with the new xbox? i didnt see anything that turns me away from gaming, sure there was a bunch of tv stuff i dont care about.......
but they did mentiona bunch of new Ip's. just wait until e3 to hear more about games.
..I can't believe the emphasis on sports games and television. I am completely unimpressed. I fear this is the end of my xBox experience, and possibly console gaming.
Same so far I'm converted to the PS4, nice one MS. The PS4 is turning into a hardcore gaming machine

I know what you mean, my console gaming experience might be over.
Yeah, well lets put it this way, I am currently investing serious personal time into researching the PC market now.
*Keeps nudging Devo in the PC direction* hardly feel like knocking out achievements at the moment.... just ain't feeling invested in the Xbox TV & Sport system anymore
Why don't you guys get a PS4?
Mitchelle - because if I am going to make the change, and go through all of that effort, I might as well make the change significant. I used to be into PC gaming...
...and I have been becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of good titles that stretch across a plethora of genres in the console space. I'm looking forward to...
...returning to games like Total War and others while exploring Genres I haven't got a lot of experience with "i.e. - free-to-play, MMO's, etc"
Fair enough, I might just give entirely because I sure do need some new hobbies.
I know you didn't ask for my advice Mitchell, but if you love gaming, don't give it up. Just reassess how you approach it.
I agree with Dev Mitch, put aside your disappointment about the loss of GS & completed games and move on
fucking explorer achievement!!!!
Lol, yeah that ones a bitch.
FYI I did this on split screen :)
I wish I had the game
great game Dead Island!
