This is the first of at least three more priced DLC packs for Red Dead Redemption.
Adding to the Western experience with 9 new multiplayer locations, 8 characters from the 2004 Red Dead Revolver, the tomahawk weapon, new single player challenges, and 10 new achievements, avid fans won't want to miss this.
The new locations include: Tall Trees, Thieves' Landing, Fort Mercer, Manzanita Post, Blackwater, Punto Orgullo, Escalera, Hennigan’s Stead, and Rio Bravo, all of which featuring differentiating game modes. Three older locations, Diez Coronas, Pacific Union Railroad Camp, and Tumbleweed, will also have more game modes added.
Making their appearance in Red Dead Redemption are: Buffalo Soldier, Shadow Wolf, Ugly Chris, Pig Josh, Red Harlow, Jack Swift, Mr. Kelley, and Annie Stoakes. Each character is packed with their own unique dialogue and taunts, recreating their original Red Dead Revolver personas accurately. This is a very nice touch for anyone who has ever played Revolver, but probably won't mean much for those unfamiliar with the title. Players without this DLC will not be able to see these characters if you use them - you will appear as a default character.
The tomahawk acts pretty much as an over-powered throwing knife with slightly less range. It is almost always a one hit kill, however. It can be used on players without this DLC, and is supposedly more deadly towards them.
This is a great piece of DLC for fans of the game. But I wouldn't recommend it for casual players of the title, as you won't get anything really new for $10.00.
