The Gun Sonata DLC pack offers up some new content for Bulletstorm enthusiasts:
-Two new Echos (Guns of Stygia and Crash Site) -Three new Anarchy maps (Hotel Elysium, Villa, and Sewers) -Five new achievements
The Echo maps are similar to areas played through in the campaign and function just like the rest of the Echoes. Guns of Stygia takes place in a mostly outdoor facility like the one played through in Act 1 Chapter 2. Crash Site takes you through a crashed space ship and then some damaged buildings.
The Anarchy maps are completely new and, like the original Anarchy maps, feature unique elemental hazards: -Hotel Elysium has electrified ceiling fans on the lower level. -Villa features a giant bell that can be leashed, causing it to fall and kill anything close by. -Sewers has a giant flame jet that can be activated by leashing a release valve.
The five achievements are worth a total of 125 gamerscore (40, 30, 25, 20, and 10). They are all relatively easy and can be completed in less than an hour. The two Echo-based achievements require completing a specific task near the end of each level. Two of the Anarchy-based achievements can be done on the first wave while the third requires a Boss, which doesn't appear until wave 5.
At 800 MSP, I would only recommend this DLC pack if you are a huge Bulletstorm fan (or just want 5 fairly easy achievements). Holding off for a price drop might not be such a bad idea. |
