If I wanted to go about buying this today is there anything particular I need to know about including but not limited to, servers being down, special serial key needed? Sorry I haven't played any games on PC because mine is really old but my girlfriend has an Alienware so I was going to see about getting some PC games like this, Halo 2, maybe Fallout 3.

Well I know Gears you don't have to worry about servers shutting down considering you host your other games...and Fallout 3 there really isn't anything to worry about considering there's no online. Not that anybody maxes that game our legitimately anyway...at least on the PC.

Gears has 2 Seriously... Achievements (Ranked and Social)

Fallout's completion takes 4-6 minutes.

Haven't played Halo 2

After asking a friend he said that most of it can be done in private matches. You just need somebody with most of the achievements to help you out with 'em because they are kinda viral or something.

Sweet so what about serial codes, like to activate the game, I want to get Fallout 3 but like you said the achievements being so easy to earn I don't wanna spend all that money on a new copy can I just buy a used copy and buy a serial code from games for windows live or is buying new pretty much the only way. I definitely don't want to use any illegal ways I don't roll that way lol.

Fallout 3's DRM free, so no codes. Don't know about the others, I'd suggest buying Gears from Steam

You want to save money? Then this is your ticket in paying for less and play more ;-)
