Time to ground and pound those ranked achievements
EA have announced a triple XP weekend for EA Sports MMA. The event will start this Friday (April 15th) and runs until Sunday.
Triple XP will be awarded for all ranked matches, with a number of achievements in the game based on rank progression, there is no better time to step into the cage.
The triple XP events comes a few weeks after a couple of updates were introduced to the title, fixing attribute and stamina issues. A list of the fixes is below:
Gameplay Update 1 (3/03)
• Blocking/Parrying adjustments • Stamina System updates • Health regeneration adjustments • Ground timing windows • Clinch Adjustments • Fighter Records/Attributes
Gameplay Update 2 (3/11)
• Head health regeneration on the ground • Grappling windows • Stamina loss in Guard Postured Up • Overeem’s chin attribute • Fedor’s sub attributesCredit goes to CoMANdo DOOM for this story |

Well despite having no gripes against the genre at all (in fact I like a good MMA / UFC match here and there, to watch mind =)).
When I see a game like this with rank based online achievements I automatically write it off because it just screams of a way of forcing people to play online, and NORMALLY it just feels tacked on and wrong. |

| If this was only announced sooner..I completed most of the offline achievements, and traded it in without bothering with the online, since I would never realistically get anywhere, triple xp would have helped though |

| I agree with Saikred completely. EA's MMA online progression is ludicrous, they need Gears 2 style 30 XP weekends...or weeks. I just gave up with online after about 25 fights and one belt (my win loss was 1/1ish). I think it's telling that only ONE PERSON on TA has the top three acheivements. I once fought a guy with over 2000 online fights, and a strong win/loss ratio, and he didn't have the top four acheivements. Fights are often not fun either. There is a lot of bodyshot spamming on the ground, that seems to be the 'go to' move, and it is too difficult to defend against. |

I dont think anyone has the best rank legit. Best rank I have ever seen is master brown belt and thats still 2 off the red master belt. |

Go me!
I saw this and thought that some people would like this. I, for one, am looking for people to boost this with. I still have two out of the five belts. I have middleweight and welterweight. I'm willing to lose those to whoever my boosting partner is. I'll be free all day Sunday. Just message me on here and xbox live. |

I couple of weeks ago I checked the guy ranked no. 1 on Xbox 360 - even he hadn't unlocked all the online ranks!
I agree with SpinkyMinky also, at least 30x XP is needed. Whilst checking out the leaderboards you can also see the number of fights there has been that day. At a little over 1,500 about 6pm (GMT) on a Saturday there had been a little over 1,500 fights - that day. I reckon this is going in Jan 2012! |

I rented the game a while back and once I had done the single player I sent it back. I tried a couple of ranked matches and got it handed to me. It's a shame they put these achievements in.
Same with Fight Night Round 4, no chance of winning the title belts to complete the game. |

I figure with around 4 people boosting with one another it gives us more of a chance to join lobbies with one another. |

| Sounds like a good Idea Comando. Lets do this! I still cant imagine I will get off of black belt, even with this 3x exp event. 100x exp event would be fricking awesome. We all know EA wont do that though :( |
