I scanned through the other threads and did not see anyone that had this yet (from what I saw), just one where someone asked about any good ones, which this is not that.
*just post any and all of your favorite television series, and to make it interesting, also put your favorite actor from each series(series name and real name). Also, add any other info that you would like.. I shall start.
SCRUBS -- (J.D./Zach Braff) -- I really find his daydreams to be hilarious, and his "bromance" style relationship with his best friend Turk is funny also. It can also be sad and serious at moments, but mostly a hilarious comedy. My favorite series ever. I own every season on DVD.
LAW & ORDER: (SVU) SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT -- (Stabler/Christopher Meloni) -- more of a dark gritty series, but I really enjoy them catching the bad guys and at times giving them what they deserve. Sometimes makes me want to be a detective, although I don't know if I could handle seeing some of the things they have seen in person.
SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND -- (Spartacus/Andy Whitfield) -- among other good actors, I really enjoyed this series a lot. I liked the arena battles and such. I also think Andy Whitfield is a great actor, and it really sucks about his illness and it kept him from being in the second season, although it was still pretty good even though he wasn't there. Worst part about this series was it ended IMO. I haven't read up on him lately, but hopefully they make another season of this and he can be in it.
These are just a few of my favorites of the top of my head. Go ahead and add your favorites now... |

Chuck - (Casey/Adam Baldwin) I really do love this show, I think it's definitly my favourite tv series. The first season was definitly the best out of them all. Chucks goofy way of saving the day every time is always cool. Adam Baldwin is awesome in everything he's in, and I think he really comes into the show in season 3.
Glee - (Toss up between Rachel/Lea Michele and Emma/Jayma Mays) I feel first off that I have to say I'm not gay because whenever I tell someone I love Glee they immediately ask if I'm gay. Glee is just awesome, there certainly some pretty lame moments but overall it's great. I can't decide between Lea Michel and Jayma Mays because in season 1 Mays was way better but now she hasn't been in the show so much and Lea Michele is taking over my fave spot.
Firefly - (Malcolm Reynolds/Nathon Fillion) Come on, does anyone even need an explanation as to why this show is incredible? |

Moonlighting (Bruce Willis/David Addison) - The writing was beyond brilliant and Bruce Willis' portrayal of David Addison set the bar for every wise-cracking TV and movie star since. Best episode: Atomic Shakespeare. Their take on The Taming of the Shrew in a dream sequence is pure genius
Homicide: Life on the Street (Andre Braugher/Frank Pembleton) - A cop show that was about the cops. I tried the ones that followed but they never came close to this. Best episode: Crosetti. Pembleton's salute made me tear up every time I've seen it, and I'd wager it will the next time too.
The X-Files (Gillian Anderson/Dana Scully) - Best episode: Chinga. Still get chills when I hear the Hokey Pokey.
Carnivale (Michael J. Anderson/Samson) - Best Show Ever! Best episode: The last. When the corn died in the last minute, a little piece of me died too ('cuz HBO killed it, the show and that little piece of me) |

The West Wing (Sam Seaborn/Rob Lowe) - While I have great love for all the characters on the show, Sam had some of the best lines and was probably the most earnest character, although I think Toby was arguably the most idealistic. But the writers did horrible things to Toby in the final seasons that changed his character. I still think the first season was the best season of TV ever. It gave me warm fuzzies about government, something the real government has failed to do for a very long time. The writing was smart and snappy and at least in the beginning they didn't act like complex problems could be solved in an hour. The only problem is that I keep expecting ME's The Illusive Man to be more like my beloved POTUS.
Burn Notice - (Mchael Westen/Jeffrey Donovan) - More smart, snappy writing. Beautiful scenery and lots of action. Mike's more serious, witty, and his voice over had lots of interesting information.
Castle - (Kate Beckett/Stana Katic) - Another show where I love the whole cast. I'm a fan of Fillion but I must admit I love Beckett even more than Castle. Shes' brilliant, sexy, competent and more serious.
Firefly - (Malcom Reynolds/Nathan Fillion) - It's particularly hard to choose a favorite in this one, but Mal was the leader and set the tone. The entire cast and characters were interesting and awesome. Gone before its time. |

| Supernatural (Jensen Ackles/Dean Winchester) - love this show and have all available series on DVD (and some that are unavailable). Started off as a great series but sort of lost the plot after a few seasons. the leatest season has taken the story and characters back to what i truly loved to start with. The joking/banter between the brothers is hilarious and the music used in this show is EPIC. |

Dexter (Dexter Morgan/Michael C. Hill) - Love this show. Watched the first 2 seasons on netflix and then had to borrow the other seasons from my friend. I think i almost finished the entire fourth season in 1 day. Waiting for the 5th one to come out on DVD seeing as i don't have ShowTime...
Great idea for a thread BTW. |

Lost - It started so well but did drift off a bit, shame as I had a lot of theories for the island that would have been better!
Dual Survivor - just love it. A hippy and a military trained guy are dumped in the wilderness and have to survive in various harsh terrains such as swamps, deserts, etc. Brilliant viewing with their contrasting ways. |

I can't be bothered to write a description as it would take too long. ROME (22 hours of sex, blood and parties, makes Spartacus look like a kids show) American Dad (I prefer it to Family Guy because none of the jokes are cutaways) Family Guy (Because it will always remind me of funny moments in my life) Dead Set (I never liked Big Brother but I though this was excellent and the way they got Davina McColl to cameo in it was great) Blackadder (Hilarious British comedy but also manages to be incredibly upsetting at times) Red Dwarf (Probably my favourite comedy out of the lot) Bottom (Saw my first episode on Christmas day and just had to get the rest on DVD, hilarious) Thunderbirds (Way before my time but I love it, people joke about them walking but as any true fans will know they spend about 2 minutes total walking out of 27 hours of episodes) Fonejacker (Series took a turn for the worse after the first series but it was great while it lasted) Flight of the Conchords (I wouldn't recommend this unless you like the band already but if you do then its fantastic, basically FOTC, who are a successful band in real life, play the part of a struggling band in NYC) Transformers (Just like Thunderbirds this was before my time but I love it to death, even after they all die) |

24 - The most entertaining 8 series of television i have ever enjoyed watching. Wish they would carry on making more series but looking forward to the film, obvously Jack bauer made it but Tony almeada was a good character IMO.
More recently i found 'The walking Dead' - brilliant zombie series. I think the 2nd series should start sept in the US.
Fringe - a bit like x-files but more interesting and the lead actress is mighty fine (cant be arsed looking for here real name) |

oh I was going to add another also.. SKINS (UK version of course) -- (Chris Miles/Joe Dempsie) -- Of course I am talking about the UK version of skins, not the horrid US version. Sadly to say, the US version just plain old sucks compared to the UK version. And with every season they bring pretty much new characters, so I stuck with Chris from the original season, just because I liked him the most. I'm sure most people that have seen it would go with Tony, but I just didn't like him at all. Not the actor, just the way his character was and how he acted towards his friends and people, it pissed me off LOL. But it made the show better. I have only seen 3 seasons so far, waiting for the others to come on netflix. All in all a pretty good dramatic and somewhat funny series |

The Trailer Park Boys -- (bubbles/Mike Smith) -- I just think he is a funny one, even though he is very weird and goofy. I enjoyed all the seasons, with a lot of it being funny, and some episodes not so funny. It took me until like season 4 before I realized they were all from Canada. lol. I hate Ricky, his stupidity makes me angry. |
