I posted this in another forum, but this is the perfect place this:
I want to issue a challenge to all Xbox 360 gamers, Marvel and/or Capcom fans/gamers:
Get all the Gamerscore for all Marvel and Capcom games released on the Xbox 360:
There will be a 1600 MSP Prize for the 1st one to complete this.
Also, games could be substituted with their PC counterpart (Games for Windows LIVE), if available and has achievements, but it will count as the completion of that game (if you want to double dip, that's on you).

KenKen (WP7, made by Capcom)

The first one who accomplishes this challenge will be crowned Marvel/Capcom Gaming Champion of the Xbox 360

Note: You may need to boost or cooperate to get some of the achievements in some of these games. Also, your title could be challenged with releases of future Capcom and Marvel games. Keep vigilant for future releases. Read this last line carefully: THIS WILL NOT BE EASY, IT IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF A CHALLENGE!!!!!!!

*= Special cases
1) You only need to get the Marvel Pinball and Street Fighter II Turbo Pinball achievements on Pinball FX 2. If you want to get all the achievements for Pinball FX 2, that's fine with me.

2) Since the DLC was taken down by Activision on December 31, 2010, it maybe impossible for people who just now buy Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 to get all the achievements. Therefore, I'll accept 1000 gamerscore as the requirement. If you have the DLC before it was taken down, get all 1250. Also, I recommend downloading the two DLC teaser pack to increase your chances to find people online and you could possibly get the 250 gamerscore that came with the DLC if you play with somebody that has it. The same is true for the first game (If you buy the Gold Edition, you can get all the Achievements).

3) Puzzle Fighter is found on the Marketplace under the "P" section.

4) Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor needs the Kinect. Kinect players will have an early advantage with this one.

5) MotoGP 08 apparently has a glitched achievement:
MotoGP '08 Nothing More Can Challenge Me The Nothing More Can Challenge Me achievement in MotoGP '08 worth 0 pointsComplete all Challenges.

Therefore, I'll accept the 950/1000. Lost Planet 2 has similar problem:
Lost Planet 2 Secret Achievement The Secret Achievement achievement in Lost Planet 2 worth 847 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement.
has become near impossible to obtain.
This also intertwines with
Lost Planet 2 Secret Achievement The Secret Achievement achievement in Lost Planet 2 worth 1694 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement.

Major props if you can pull it off! If not, it too will be accepted with 850/1000 gamerscore (unless, of course it is actually completed). Alternatively, If the PC version can be completed, that option is available (that should go without saying, though).

6) Marvel Super Hero Squad: Comic Combat is compatible with the uDraw Tablet for playability.

7) The Avengers: Battle for Earth needs the Kinect.

8) World Gone Sour was a U.S.-only release, but assuming it isn't region locked, it can be played by PAL users by using a U.S. MSP card. If not, then it will not count officially and it will be a bonus. As a result, any challenger who has completed it will have a "*" next to their name, if it is proven that it is region locked.

What happens if somebody actually completes this?
Not only will the winner become champion, but Phase 2 opens.
In Phase 2, the champion will be on top of the ranking board.
To oust the champion, the #1 contender has not only has to complete the same number of games as the champ (not always the same games, but the same number), but has to beat the next upcoming game before the champion. Thus the champion's reign is in constant jeopardy.

1. The badge is never going to happen
2. There is no motivation to do this. There needs to be an actual prize for the first person to complete the challenge, or nobody will do it. I like the idea though.

I'm willing to donate 1600 MSP for this. However, my stipulations are

1) The achievements must be done mostly online (logged in to XBL)
2) The person has to be a registered user of TA for at least 90 days.
3) Privacy settings must be turned off, and the gamer must be scannable at all times.
4) If the gamer is found to be a cheater, for any reason, the prize will be forfeit.
Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?

So first person to finish all games mentioned? Is there a time limit? Sounds interesting I do like a good Marvel game, and most Capcom games are great as well.

There is no real time limit because future Capcom and Marvel games are still being released (though at the moment there is more Capcom games coming). I'm even trying this. GameStop is my friend in getting the retail games (should be first priorty). The Arcade games are next (I recommend downloading the free trials of the games first if you don't have enough MSP at the moment, it saves you the trouble of downloading them when you buy them).
Here are two games that are easy gamerscore from the list: Dead Rising 2: Case Zero/0 and X-Men Arcade. I found them the easiest to get all 200 Gs from both franchises.

Thought I'd let you know I subscribed to your blog mate. Mainly to keep an eye on the competition :P

To be honest though I havent played a Capcom/Marvel game since I last posted in here. laugh

Its a shame we cant get a leaderboard for this, just showing GS in Marvel+Capcom games.

I think I'll give this a try. I don't really feel like you guys have much of a head start because some of the games on there are going to take forever. I have a few of the easy ones done already: Spiderman Friend or Foe, X-Men Origins Wolverine, Dead Rising Case Zero. That is all I have done right now, but I'll give this challenge a try. I'll be starting after my exams which end on Wednesday.

Maybe it would be a good idea in the OP to track all of the participants progress in completed games.

We had a group on 360voice confirm that you can earn the full 1250 in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 by playing online with someone that has the DLC.

That being said, I'm down for this!

So I made a spreadsheet to track some scores and from my count SM Scorx has 4 complete. Chris1984uk has 6 complete. Se4nzZ WoRLd has 3 complete. Dog of Thunder has 0 complete.

The most popular complete is a tie between X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Dead Rising 2: Case 0, both with 2.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I'll let SM Scorx decide on which achievements to take off if any (based on what should and doesn't have to count towards 100% completion), and he will be the person to let me know who the official winner is, via this thread and a PM.
